We stopped for takeout at NYPD Pizza at the Camelback Colonnade location formally known as the New York Pizza Department (NYPD Pizza) in Arizona. It is a family-owned pizzeria that brings authentic New York-style pizza to Phoenix. The restaurant uses high-quality ingredients, including a signature water blend that mimics New York City's water. They only use fresh mozzarella and a tangy, homemade tomato sauce, all baked in stone ovens. In addition to pizza, they offer calzones, pastas, and wings. I was surprised how nice it was inside NYPD. I had the opportunity to meet the manager and some of the staff; everyone was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed some ziti marinara, a Caesar salad, a personal-sized cheese pizza, some of their delicious garlic knots, and for dessert, decadent chocolate cake. A portion of the proceeds of NYPD Pizza goes to support firefighters and first responders; so please support them.

I’m really not sure what to say about this pizza and its puzzle pieces! I tried NYPD pizza a long time ago but, I don’t remember running into this issue. I’ll post pictures which will explain what I mean. I was so dismayed by the appearance of the slices that I couldn’t even eat them. I guess I’m spoiled growing up in NYC and have been eating pizza since I was a child there. However, I’ve eaten pizza overseas and at some good places here in the valley but, nothing like what I was given here! I’m used to having the cheese melted and toppings incorporated into the sauce at least somewhat. As far as fresh??? Some of the chopped basil was black and very wilted not fresh or incorporated into anything just sprinkled on top. Needless to say I will not be returning there or any of their locations. NYC style pizza anyone? Not here!!

Being from New York I'm very particular about food. There's really really good food in New York after moving here I have not found many that serve good New York food but NYPD pizza certainly does. The crust as a nice light crunch with chewiness The sauce and the cheese are really good as well. Wings cooked perfectly with a nice sauce. Just a little bit of a crunch. A nice tropical iced tea and some real New York cheesecake. And these guys are awesome The servers.

I ordered large two topping pizza and beverage at around 12:55 pm on 07-03-22. After I seated myself I noticed that the order was keyed as "To Go". I also noticed that I didn't have a way without leaving my seat to advise staff that the order was dine-in instead. I didn't see a monitor screen or split screen advising me when the pizza is ready. The total price of the order is $34.71. Aside being somewhat oversized the pizza was fare. Nothing stood out in the flavor to rate the pizza otherwise. I also used all the napkins however no one came to the table to ask if I needed more. I noted that a tip was requested on the debit card receipt before I tasted the pizza or observed the service. I had an opportunity to use the family restaurant. I found the floor to appear not clean, and a toweltte to be on the floor underneath the soap dispenser apparently to catch the excess soap that drops on the floor. I didn't observe a cleaning or maintenance schedule either on the interior or external door or walls. The only person that took my order was minimally friendly. No one else approached me in the restaurant to acknowledge my presence or bid me fairwell when leaving the restaurant. I also noted that Google maps did not come up under this restaurant but instead I had to search for this restaurant after I brought up the maps screen on a separate page. Apparently there is an IT issue that prevented Google maps from coming up the usual way. The ambiance, as a solitary guest was cold and impersonal. The house music was minimally ok. I suggest that the television screens be adjusted to allow at least one of them to be watched from at least the other guests in the restaurant seated sonewhere other than at the bar. The first door was locked I walked to outside after opening the outside gate to enter the restaraunt. I noted the outside gate closed quickly and was very noisy as if to say 'you are here (unfortunately)'. I finally found the entrance in the dog-leg-around leading to the next door. The lights were low in the restaraurant and as such hard to tell if the restaraunt was open or closed from the outside. I pulled the handle and was surprised to find it opened. I wasn't sure if this restaraunt was open or closed on sundays. The sofa type seat I chose was comfortable with no cracks, rips, or tears in it. The beverage was not as cold from the tap as it should be. Please not I do not use ice as rely on the beverage to be cold instead of lukewarm from the dispenser. I chose mountain dew. No one asked me if I wanted to order desert or how the dining experience was. There were two more parties of various sizes there and seated when I arrived. All things considered this experience did not match the price I paid. I retain all my receipts incase there is a question if I was actually a guest. I think the 2 star rating...

I said I wasn't going to do this but the more I sat on this I think corporate should see this. We came in to eat and the entry was messy. Napkins and junk just swept into the side area. After the long walk way to the the dining area there is no stand for the host/hostess to seat you, it leads to a buffet line like a subway to order food to go. After standing at the open area for a few minutes and not getting greeted or recognized, I approached the waiters at the register and asked if things had changed and we wait to be seated or order from the line and sit down. They offered us to seat ourselves and they would be right with us. The tables were filthy. We swept off the few things we could and the waitress got our drink orders and disappeared for a long time. After that we put in our orders for everything because we had the time. Garlic cheese knots, a pizza, and a pasta. We waited 30 mins for the knots and another 20 mins for the pizza. We got no silverware and had to wait for plates for the knots. The waitress kept coming toward our table and would make a sharp u-turn and walk to the kitchen. She did this a number of times when we were waiting for service. After another 20 mins the pasta came out and was not hot. The other table requested plates 3 times and the waitress got attitude with her about it's just busy tonight. It was two servers for a full house and nobody seemed to be getting food or service. I couldn't tell you what they were running around doing. Later that night I called and asked to speak to the manager and the waiter was hesitant to put me through. I insisted and he asked me to wait for a moment. I told the manager (Pete?) the issue we had with the food coming out not at the same time and not hot as well as the attitude from the waitress. He asked for my name, email and how I paid and he said he would email me a coupon and refund us the cost of the meal. Needless to say, we are two weeks from our visit there and we never got a refund for the meal and I never...

I ordered to go through DoorDash and received someone else’s order, which I’m sure was probably the drivers fault. Regardless I know the process and contacted DoorDash right away and received my refund from the incorrect order. What I’m upset about is the fact I called the restaurant to let them know someone else maybe calling saying they didn’t get the right order as well. Was placed on hold and a person named Robert whom I believe to be the manager was extremely rude. As I explained my issue he quickly cut me off and said that I need to go through DoorDash. I stated I had done that but thought they should know too, he said okay and was about to hang up when I said do you need to know my name or the incorrect order? He then said I don’t understand how can I help you this has to go through DoorDash. So unprofessional and rude. I work in a restaurant and my manager would never speak to customer like that. I was very nice considering I waited almost an hour for the wrong food and he seemed to be the one irritated about...
