Having came here for lunch one day with a coworker, I decided to take my girlfriend here for our monthly date night occasion. Here’s the gist of our experience:
They have this silly little tablet outside that says to “check in”. Naturally, I decided to heed the instructions and sign in and was told around 0-10 minutes by the tablet for a table, great.
My girlfriend and I agree that this timing probably means they are probably ready to seat us within 10 mins, so we wait around for a bit. ~7 mins pass and three groups get sat as we are waiting outside. I assumed these groups werent just walk-ins due to the silly little iPad sign in host. This whole time the staff are just staring at us through the restaurant windows very awkwardly.
10 total mins have passed so I decide to just ask a staff member to clear the air. Without even asking our parties name; A thin, short, dark haired girl tells me that we will get a text when our table is ready. So I agree and double check the text that I got the table (image included). My girlfriend and I decide to walk around to kill time.
30 mins have passed and I still haven’t received a single blip from my phone or the website. My girlfriend and I walk back to the patio area to just see what’s going on.
This time, 3 different groups are waiting outside for a table with us, we wait 5 mins to see if they get sat. Guess what, they did.
I go inside and ask the same girl if we are still on the waiting list and what is going on. She tells me “we’re still flipping tables.” So I go back outside, no further help from her. Very lazy performance from her, she needs to find a new career.
It was only after the third group was sat (by a real person, not by text) that a different male staff member asked us “are you guys checked in and still waiting?” and me and my girlfriend both say “Yes.” This staff member offers a table for us.
Turns out we weren’t on the list, like I had inquired about TWICE. The short female employee there didn’t even bother to check and just said to wait.
I asked the male employee what happened, and why we had to wait 45 mins to get sat down? He essentially told us the iPad check-in system doesn’t work.
If it doesn’t work and doesn’t function properly, is that why your employees are so confused on how to sit people at a table? It doesn’t make any sense and me and my girlfriend wasted 45 minutes of our time because of the short dark haired girl, she doesn’t know how to help people, she just knows how to say “arigato” when you leave.
Food was really good though, just awful communication and an overall...

Read moreOverpriced, subpar food, -0- service. We had wanted to try this place for about a year, but there was always a long wait outside. We found out, that is a false line! We took a ticket by pressing the machine outside, and walked in, even though it said a ten minute wait. The reason we did so, is there were about three tables seated. So we go inside, and the hostess says we have to wait outside until she calls us--- okay- so we go outside, and within one minute she calls us to come sit down. The food is overpriced- the sashimi was so thin you could see through it, and it looked and tasted past its prime. My kids stopped counting after counting 34 empty plates go by- that's right, at the rotating sushi bar, there was almost -0- food available. Plate after empty plate went by. We finally picked a few things out b/c after about 10 minutes, nothing looked appealing. Our server was not helpful at all. Our drinks were delivered on the robot about 15 minutes after our few dishes. We pressed the green button for "server" but she never came. We finally ended up ordering off of the push button ipad, because at this point we still had only three small plates. By the way, $4 a plate and ONE thin, sad looking piece of whatever is on the plate. So our fried rice and shrimp tempura come. They are cold. We finally were so disgusted that we decided to simply leave. We paid $45 for one small fried rice, one small tempura and three plates- each with one item on them. We saw our server exactly ONE time. You even have to scan a QR code to pay your bill. We love rotating sushi places, and this is the ONLY one that we have been to that had truly awful food, awful service, and will NEVER come back. We ended up going to Fry's in the same complex and getting their sushi to go. Avoid this place at all costs. I truly have no idea how they stay...
