Poliberto's — Restaurant in Phoenix

Ate at this place for the first time last night and was very disappointed for a few reasons. 1. After placing my order I asked the lady to read it back to me and she just said okay. 2. I ordered rice and was never charged for it nor did I receive it. 3. My order was made incorrectly. I ordered carne asada fries, extra crispy and a chicken chalupa with no guacamole. They gave me soggy carne asada fries with no guacamole and covered the chicken chalupa in guacamole. All wrong. I then left without checking my order because I expected professionals to do the job correctly. Shame on me. 3. After getting it home finding the issue with a guacamole on the chicken Chalupa I then promptly took it back and asked to have my order corrected. The lady there looked annoyed but took my food back and made me a new one. 4. I should have checked the food because once again there was guacamole on there but they did remove the sour cream which I did not ask for. Shame on you. 5. I then asked to be compensated the rice I wanted for my wasted time and my meal back at home getting cold and she replied okay. 5. Upon getting home once again I found my meal was made incorrect again and there was no rice to be seen. My woman to whom the order was for wound up only eating a few bites of it because she absolutely hates the taste of guacamole. I spent over $30 here and was not only ripped off but very annoyed as well. I will not be returning here and I suggest anyone who reads my review to please DOUBLE...

I recently visited for the first time and usually I don't stop at anything "Berto's" usually because the salsas are water down so they are not spicy to me. This wasn't the case with this Poliberto's. Luke they say in a Spanish household "Quién te hizo enojar cuando estabas haciendo la salsa?" I got a pollo asada bowl and they followed my customization request correctly, light Pico de Gallo add Guacamole. I also ordered a side tortilla and a tamale. The tamale was pork and it wasn't dry, so I enjoyed it. They also served a lot of other items as well including pancakes for breakfast! The food is a lil bit expensive but the flavor and portion size make up for it. It doesn't make sense to me that if I want horchata with my combo meal then it's THREE DOLLARS EXTRA!!! What on earth is in the horchata that makes it THREE WHOLE DOLLARS MORE than a fountain drink like coke or sprite or whatever they consider as a "normal" drink for the combos. I wonder if any of the other "bertos" are following the same lame price hike for an horchata with my combo replacing the coke or Pepsi.
