QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Phoenix

I love QDOBA, the food is superior to Chipotle which I’ve had to suffer since leaving college. I’m very thankful one opened near my house and have loved it the few times I’ve made it around. However the reason for the 4 star and what brings it down is the clear lack of experience that many of the staff have in preparing the food specifically wrapping the burritos. The line supervisor I believe wrapped, or attempted to wrap my burrito, and it was embarrassing to watch. It wasn’t so much a wrap as it was more so mushing it together. Any Chipotle location would have this beat as even new people know how to wrap a burrito. I know how to wrap a burrito having watched it done hundreds of times. I even had an urge to ask if I could come back there and wrap it myself. This is the only disappointing part about the location right now, and I will gladly update my review once noticeable improvement is evident...

What is even happening here? A bunch of grown adults playing around too much to do their jobs. Showed up a few mins after pick up time and it was all jokes and not acknowledging customers in line. After about 10 mins they asked what I was there for and it turns out they didn't even see my order had printed and it wasn't ready, 30+ mins after ordering. Meanwhile a DoorDash driver who went to the wrong location and showed up after me was priority - manager immediately peeled off to call the other location and cancel so they could make his order ahead of mine... After all that, the food was pretty mediocre.

Oh, and I ordered nachos and it came with no chips. It was literally a bowl of toppings. I don't understand. My friend's taco salad did not come with the crunchy bowl.

Suspicious amount of good reviews last few weeks - don't believe them. This...

I have been to this location three times since it opened, and each time, I have been impressed with the customer service and how friendly the staff is. During my first visit, Lorena was great and took the time to go out of her way to give us excellent customer service. Tonight, we had the pleasure of Jordin making our bowls, she was so sweet and made sure our bowls were exactly the way we like them. She took extra time to review the meat options with my mom and gave her samples to ensure it wouldn't be too spicy for her and had a flavor profile she would enjoy. We had the opportunity to speak with Ariana one of the managers to share our positive feedback about Jordin's excellent customer service. Ariana was very positive and talked highly about Qdoba as a company. I am glad to have Qdoba back...
