If there were 10 stars, I would give this place 10! We went here FOUR times for breakfast out of the 10 days we were down here. Forget Crocketts and Pancake Pantry, they are NOWHERE near as good, and you have to wait into both those places (whether it's in line before opening or after they open and have a wait), and food is just over-hyped, but Smokys Pancake Cabin food is better by far. We don't have a lot of chorizo choices at home for breakfast so we got the fiesta omelette every time we went, but also split the 3 meat omelette once too. We did an upcharge for flavored pancakes each time and got the pumpkin cheesecake pancakes multiple times because they were just too good, but also the pineapple upside down, Lemon Berry, and strawberry cheesecake pancakes (all were phenomenal and cooked perfectly) and the service was amazing every day we were there. Not to mention the Collier group (who owns this and a handful of other restaurants in the area) gives you toast points that equates to $ off, so between the 6 of our family we got $20-$30 off from the visits there and to Roma Table. Also we only waited for a table twice (when we went around 10 am on a weekend) and longest wait was 15-20 mins.

In my opinion after trying several other Pancake breakfast restaurants in the Pigeon forge and Gatlinburg area this has been by far the worst breakfast restaurant in the area. Paying $13.00 for a very small country fried steak and a pitiful amount of eggs and a small plate of hash browns to me doesn't warrant such a high price. The extra coffee they leave at your table for refills was cold barely even warm.. Of all the other places we've been to for breakfast this place has the smallest portions out of them all. Don't waste your time or money. I would suggest Flapjacks, Crocketts in Gatlinburg hell even Cracker barrel is better than this place. The pictures on the web site are very misleading. Looks like you get good portions but in reality you get half of what is displayed. Our server Mahkala was exceptional and spot on with our drink order and Taking our order. She even flirted with our son who loved the attention she showed him. But other than that I wouldn't spend a dime here. Save your money and go else where trust me when I tell you this.

Jessica made our first visit to the Smokys absolutely memorable. It's not every day you meet such a friendly and down to earth server. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and even took the time to chat with us. The restaurant itself has a cozy, farm style atmosphere, and the menu is straightforward. Jessica recommended the pineapple cakes, and they were fantastic! I was really impressed by these warm, fluffy, and decadent cakes, packed with flavor and not overly sweet. They're definitely a must try if you're stopping by for breakfast. Everything else we ordered was great too, including the turkey patties and a single biscuit. The coffee was also good, just your classic diner style brew. But again, the real highlights were our waitress, Jessica, and the delicious pineapple cakes.

This was our first and probably last time visiting this place. The host was very friendly and nice. I think he may have been the manager. He quoted us a 20 min wait and we barely waited 5 min. It was when we say down that everything went down hill. We waited a little more than 20 min before my bf had to ask a server in training who our server was. He then immediately greeted us and took our drink order and our food order as well. Food came out probably about 5-7 min later. We ordered the pecan pancakes and the big Dave's breakfast. My daughter order pecan pancakes with a side of sausage and cheese eggs. The cheese eggs were just scrambled with cheese dumped on top. And no the cheese didn't melt. The pancakes were rubbery, we could barely cut them with the knife or fork. The biscuit, and sausages didn't have much flavor. The bacon was ok. The smoked sausage, bacon and patty sausages were all cold. Just an overall bad experience. The guy host who I think was the manager, I didn't get his name, was very apologetic and comped our meal. And so was the cashier. If we wanted to come back, it would only be because they were so friendly but for the most part, I think we'll stick with another place for breakfast. I hate to give bad reviews but this was the first bad experience we've had since we've been coming to the area for vacation. Idk if they were short staffed or not. I've worked in food service and retail so I have a lot of compassion for servers, however, I don't think today was an excuse. The server stated that she had been sat several tables all at once and she did apologize. However, I'm very observant and unless she had tables on the other side of the restaurant which I doubt, we were the only table that was seated in her section at the time. I would just suggest that in a situation like that, train your servers to at least greet the table to get a drink order OR ask the host/hostess to get the drink orders. There were tables seated after us and were greeted within 2...

This place was recommended 3 years ago - 1st year, it was so crowded & short staffed & the service reflected that. So, last year, being our 2nd year, service was better, but food was sub par @ best, but the grands love the bear shaped pancake/waffle, so we came back specifically for them. Now...this year...was the breaker for me. We're done, and we will not be back. The grits literally have no taste & I mean absolutely none, no, nada. I added 5 pats of butter & so much salt & and pepper, I'm sure it's what caused my BP spike & swelling issues later in the day. The hashbrown casserole; same thing - just no flavor. Albeit I'm sure the current egg pricing issues are affecting lots of places, but $8 for 2 eggs is just plain greed. And finally, last but certainly not least - the HUGE board of health & serv safe no-no's... an establishment NEVER sweeps & mops while customers are still seated & on top of that, the bleach intensity was so overwhelming, we were coughing & our noses & throats were burning, by the time we left. While I know just 1 parties opinions will certainly not affect one's business, it was just sad, as we'd truly tried to give this place a chance, over & over. After checking receipts & in spending over $150 for 3 meal seatings, it just isn't worth our time, effort & just plain waste of money to support this business. I will add that our server, Melanie, was fabulous. It's now almost 3 am & 2 of us have woken up to tonsils the size of goose eggs & severe throat irritation, probably due to the inhaling of bleach. Hopefully, this will not continue & us end up either sick or having to end our vacation early. I hope ya'll have a better experience than we did & the owner will address proper cleaning SOP's, especially when customers are still...

We drove past, decided to stop. The Host seated us, with no problem. Our waitress came to the table and asked us if we were ready to order, we said not yet. She sighed heavily and said , well, we close in 5 minutes, I'll take a lap and come back. We ordered. I ordered hash browns and asked for them crispy. She sighed (again), and said she needed to tell the kitchen that I wanted them special, and she had ready entered them into her handheld. When she brought the food, I apologized because we didn't know they were closing, and she snottily said "well, the hours are right there on the door!" But, as we left, the hours were NOT on the door, but on a window on the front of the building. BUT, since we parked to the right of the door, we wouldn't have seen it walking in. If the guy at the door had said "hey, we close in 5 minutes, but I'll go ahead and seat you" we would have left. No problem. I never like to go somewhere right before closing time. But he didn't. But it was COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY for the waitress to be so passive aggressive and hateful. Even the couple at the table behind us notice how she was treating us. Their waitress was gracious and said no problem.when they apologized for coming in later.

The pancakes were good, but just make sure you get there in...
