What an incredibly HORRIBLE dining experience at this Chili's...so disappointing because Chili's used to be a great place to grab a few drinks and eat some good food.
Husband and I went there this past Saturday to have a quick bite before heading into the mall and it was by far the worst experience I have ever had food wise. Our server was friendly, but we ordered the "Traditional" Nacho's and the Big Mouth Bites Sliders. First of all there was nothing traditional about these nachos at all, they looked more like mini Quesadillas ( I mean call it what it is, not trick the consumer into thinking these are normal nachos.)...however the ones that came out to us were more like a blob of cold melted cheese with some low grade steak meat scattered around. No beans, no typical nacho condiments...and truly they looked like they were made 6 hours before and sat around in a window all day. Sent those back clearly. Then came out our sliders...and to my dismay they were equally gross. The Sliders were burnt, yet somehow also cold. The sautéed onions, were raw and not cooked, and the cheese was coagulated and the buns half broke were soggy. Again it appeared they had been cooked (burnt) and then sat around in the food window for eons.
There was ZERO quality control coming out of that kitchen, apparently no kitchen manager cared or was there. Who ever was cooking clearly hated their job or had no experience what so ever, I mean how do you screw up nachos and sliders. This restaurant should be ashamed to serve anything like this. The server and the manager both looked completely ashamed when we sent the food away...the manager couldn't express her apologies enough. However apologies don't feed my hungry stomach. Corporate needs to come in and take a serious look at this restaurant and put a real cook and a real manager in charge of food quality.
I personally will never eat at a Chili's again. In an age where we have hundreds of food options within miles of this restaurant, why would anyone choose this place. Do Better, your consumers deserve more, especially a chain restaurant in rough...
Read moreI am not a hard person to please. I went at 120pm on the Wednesday before thanksgiving. The place was sort of empty no more than 10 tables full. It took 3 minutes for someone to acknowledge my lady and I after walking in. We were left upfront feeling awkward like do we seat ourselves? We finally got seated the waitress was pretty quick to take our drink order. I ordered a sprite and my lady ordered a strawberry lemonade. My sprite was cool, but whatever they brought my lady tasted nothing like strawberries or lemonade. It took us a while to order, only because the couple of minutes we asked for to decide what to order turned into 20 minutes as our server forgot about us. So now it's 150 and we finally order. I ordered the double burger and a house salad, my lady ordered one of there salads, and we ordered the California flatbread as an appetizer. After another 20 minute wait, the waitress brought out my salad. When she put it in front of me, she immediately walked away. I looked down and there was a piece of hair as well as a piece of the paper from a drink straw inside of my ranch dressing. My lady was disgusted and got up and walked out. I didn't want to just walk out without letting it known of our dissatisfaction. After another 4 minutes the waitress finally came out with food for another table. I showed her my salad (which looked old by the way, the cheese and lettuce looked as if they were sweating) I showed her whAt I thought was a piece of the straw paper, she pulled it from the ranch dressing, and it turned out to be the whole paper from a drinking straw. It grossed me out as she pulled it out of the ranch dressing. Not Cool Chilli's, I swear if I had not had good service and food at the Chili's off of international, I would think this is how all Chili's operate. Needless to say we left and went to the Friday's up the road. I am actually writing this review from Friday's, which is way better if you ask me. The Florida Mall Chili's needs to step...
Read moreI am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding a disturbing experience my family and I had at one of your restaurant locations.
While dining with my family, a staff member attempted to serve my 13-year-old sister an alcoholic beverage after we had clearly requested a virgin margarita for her. We were told they couldn’t accommodate that request, so she simply ordered a glass of water instead.
After the drinks were served, a staff member came to our table and requested ID from my 13-year-old sister — who had ordered water. This was entirely inappropriate and baffling. What followed was even more alarming: multiple employees began to watch us as we ate, and they even switched out who was watching us, making us feel extremely uncomfortable and harassed throughout our entire meal.
This created a hostile and stressful dining environment, ruining our experience. We were not offered any kind of apology or discount despite the unprofessional and borderline discriminatory treatment. The staff's behavior felt invasive, childish, and utterly lacking in professionalism. This level of disrespect and intimidation toward paying customers — especially toward a child — is absolutely unacceptable.
What’s more, their justification for this treatment was that they were “checking ID” for a minor who had ordered water — which makes no sense and is frankly insulting.
This situation has caused me significant emotional distress, and I am considering further action if this is not addressed appropriately. I hope we can resolve this matter amicably, and I expect follow-up from someone in a corporate position regarding compensation and next steps.
Until then, I will not be dining at Chili’s again, and I will make it a point to share this experience publicly so others are aware that Chili’s is not a family-friendly...
