D.D. PECKERS WING SHACK — Restaurant in Pineville

Service was polite and kind, but tough to get. Not the fault of the servers by any means, the bar was just incredibly short staffed. The drinks, besides being wildly expensive for house liquor, were so inconsistent that it was frankly shocking. First drink was watered down to an absurd degree, while the 2nd was filled with so much drink mix, it was impossible to taste the alcohol, or lack thereof. The 3rd drink(same drink every time)was honestly perfect, and I couldn't have been happier. I don't know if it's different people making drinks as orders come, or just a wildly inconsistent/inexperienced bartender.

The food was downright awful. I've honestly had great food experiences here, I love the establishment in general, but holy hell, the items I ordered last night(fried mushrooms & spinach & artichoke dip) were just ghastly. I woke up in the middle of the night sick beyond all reason, and was hugging the toilet for hours. I've felt ill all day the next day, unable to eat anything since. Let me be clear here as well, I am under no kind of delusion as to what bar food consists of, nobody in their right mind is walking in here hoping for Michilen Star rated booze food lol. But this was far under even that incredibly relaxed bar.

I've never had a bad experience at this restaurant, and I'd hate to appear as though I'd like to trash it, because I do not, again, I've had wonderful experiences there for close to a decade now. Last night was just a real kick to the teeth when I'd arrived expecting the same service and quality that I had become so accustomed to here. Very disappointing, and left a bad taste in my mouth, unfortunately as literal as I meant...

The place was recommended to us to try for dinner, but we found that it is not the most ideal place to eat (for us, at least). The waitresses were eating nachos, which is fine when you are out of view of the customers...but they weren't. The nachos were out in the open at the bar and placed where the glasses go when you are about to fill them up with beer. They literally had to move their nachos to refill drink orders. I felt like this was a little too out in the open (and frankly not all that sanitary at all). They would eat the nachos, lick their fingers clean, and take drinks out to the customers. I didn't once see them wash their hands or use a wet cloth to wipe them down, nothing. The Parmesan Garlic wings were just regular wings with garlic and that famous green bottled Parmesan powder (Kraft brand) just thrown on top of it. Regular wings, no sauce, no nothing. Just powdered cheese laying at the bottom of my tray. I guess I am so used to the delicious sauce that Buffalo Wild Wings uses when they put that down in front of me I honestly lost my appetite and didn't feel comfortable eating it. I ate one wing and just sipped on my coke until the rest of us were done. The manager was both helping behind the bar and was wiping a table when we walked in which is great to see because when a manager is willing to help his employees, it honestly makes the business look better! ...But by mid-meal he was drinking shots with someone who was watching the game. Good food terrible service. We were at DD Peckers for a hour and a half as a table of two ordering a app and two sandwiches. The waitress our table had, 0010, was lousy. She never introduced herself to our table and just came up and said what can I get you to drink. She did not actually bring us water, and the bartender actually brought it to us legit 10 minutes later. Our waitress came back to our table and asked if we were ready to order then walked away to get her book. She came back to our table to take our order and walked away to talk to another table to say goodbye mid order. She did not actually come back to our table to take our order until maybe 10 minutes later. Once we ordered the bartender was the one walking around filling people's water while our waitress was nowhere to be seen. Once our food came out she never asked if we needed anything or how anything was. Once we finished and asked for checks she brought them out and just stood there, and we noticed she double charged for our app. As normal, you would expect the staff to change it and bring you our a new bill, but she stood there and just said, "do you have a card?" I informed her we were paying with cash and she told us to just subtract 7 from the bill to save her a trip. I really enjoy going to DD Peckers due to the food and atmosphere, but this service was so terrible and unprofessional that it needs to...
