The worst experience.!!!
I have lived in the Pineville-Matthews Road area for about a year but I just decided to try this place a few months ago. I was pleased with the food, service and prices. I have recommended it to several people.
On several occasions I have noticed that the owner wasn't too friendly. I have witnessed him engaging with other customers and then not acknowledge me. Although those other customers always looked like the majority of the customers there (older Caucasians) I didn't jump to conclusions. I attributed it to perhaps they were regulars and he knew them.
Well today removed all doubt!! I walked up to the register to pay and I wasn't acknowledged, so me being me I said, "So hello, how are you today?" Crickets! Still no acknowledgement. The waitress had erroneously charged me for coffee. I brought it to her attention and she wrote a note on the ticket and said it would be taken off when I cash out. Instead of the owner acknowledging me he turns to the waitress and ask her what was on the ticket. She explained that I didn't have coffee. He went back to ringing up the ticket. I would not have felt anymore violated if he had slapped me or spat in my face. The waitress said, " I apologize for that, come back again." I stated that I absolutely would not be back. Still no response from the owner. His failure to acknowledge me screamed that he does not even consider me to be a human being who is worthy of receiving basic customer service. The only time that he spoke was to tell me the price of my meal and to tell me to not worry about the penny. I told him that I didn't want to owe him anything and that he may need that penny before he leaves this earth.
Someone followed me out and tried to excuse his behavior by saying that he didn't hear me. Perhaps he didn't hear me but I strongly doubt that he didn't. Not hearing me does not excuse the fact that he never acknowledged me. He didn't ask how my meal was, didn't ask how the service was or if everything was ok. He never said thank you.
I absolutely refuse to support any business where I am treated in such a manner. I happily gave him that penny because it will be the last penny of mine that he will...
Read moreI wish I could leave a better rating. Unfortunately, upon arrival we had a 15 to 20 minute wait. During our wait time, I watched a few people come in and decide to leave. Once our table was ready we needed a highchair. Prior to putting our kiddo in the highchair we had to wipe it down because it still had stuff in it from the previous child who used it. When I went to fasten my child in, I quickly realized how gross the safety strap was. The safety strap was also broken on the high chair which prevented us from being able to tighten or loosen the strap. The menu here is MASSIVE. They had a mixture of a little bit of everything. I will say the kids menu had a good variety on it! They had the option between a breakfast menu or lunch and dinner. The wait time on food after ordering was forever sadly. An issue that personally affected me was they serve shrimp and crab here, two foods that I'm allergic too. We asked the waitress if the seafood items were cooked in a designated area etc. Unfortunately, they are not. This drastically limited what food options I had. I ended up getting the country fried beef steak over rice with a side of mashed potatoes and green beans. The beef steak was extremely salty and had an overkill of gravy on it. There was not an option of getting it with less or no gravy. There were no other complaints regarding food. I will say the ratio of meat sauce to the amount of noodles on the kids spaghetti is off. My son had a decent amount of noodles with just a little meat sauce. Our waitress was extremely sweet! I wish I could say I would be visiting here again, but nothing stood out to...

Once we got there an order in the food came out my sister-in-law had an issue with her order and spoke with the server and server took her plate to return it to the kitchen and then a manager came over with the plate asking what was wrong my sister-in-law's playing the situation to her and the manager said that you have to keep this same order because if you change it to something else we're going to have to charge you for this also I'll take it to the kitchen and have it recooked about 10 minutes the food returned from the kitchen and it looked to be the same order that they've just tried to pick through it and added some extra grits to cover up where they busted it up she called the manager over again the manager approaches the table and says what's wrong now and proceeded to argue with her about her order during the course of their argument I cut them off and just ask the manager for the check this manager is very unprofessional and she needs to work on her customer service skills I will never be...
