I worked at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and here is my honest review: the workers are nice, the products are overpriced and the owners are crooked people only looking out for themselves. I was fired on the account of leaving the store to take my break and giving a piece of chocolate (that I dropped) to a friend. I was fired the next day, and threatened with a police report. But the owners, Hal and Vicky Heinman have some legal things to work out with their own business. First of all, being a seventeen year old, I am required by the law to have a work permit on file but the owners never had me get one, Second and most importantly, none of the workers except one person has a food handlers license. Thatâs right, your food and chocolate is being handled by untrained and occasionally unwashed hands. Overall the experience was negative and a negative vibe always lurked because of the owners, who were pushy and unprofessional people. One of my female coworkers was pushed by one of the owners because she was in her way, quite the hostile work environment.
