The restaurant Manager Mattie is beyond unprofessional and very rude.
We will be sending another review letter to the owners of the restaurant for her inappropriate behavior as she completely ruined our lunch and experience at Wooly's.
We picked this restaurant because it had the beach view and they advertise as pet friendly, which they are not especially Mattie.
We sat at a large booth table on the patio, we had our pet Tesla the Havenense in a stroller the entire time.
Everything was going fine other than the fact that they have 0 servers to bring condiments such as napkins and ketchup, you have to get it yourself from the bar area which I'm not a drinker so approaching the bar area when your a non drinker is very uncomfortable.
You also have to go up to the counter across from the bar to put your order in and they give you a number for your table like a old fashioned diner to bring the food out to you.
There were no menus available, you have to look at the menu as you walk in on a chalkboard.
If they did have paper menus there was not a person working to ask questions and they were not in a easy access location to find however I didn't see any menus or anyone /anywhere to ask.
Towards the middle of our meal a curly haired lady stormed up to our table and LOUDELY rudely stated " YOUR DOG IS NOT ALLOWED ON THE TABLE" our Tesla the Havenense was in his stroller facing our table at the corner end, he was nowhere near being ON the table as she rudley accused us of...
We responded and said he is not on the table and she snapped back as fast as possible and said " Well he was when I walked by earlier!"
We both sat and looked at each other in shock as she totally just ruined our entire lunch for no reason with her terrible lies and accuasations as he never once was near the table as he lay comfortably in his stroller.
This incident was beyond unprofessional and Mattie crossed the line by embarrassing us in her restaurant, in front of other patrons and pet owners who were trying to enjoy their experience as well.
(It felt like a scene off a movie where she was the terrible step mother yelling at her kids who she didn't like)
I am not a person who allows people to talk down others so I went to the only place I could find an actual employee working which was the nice bartender man who I asked if I could talk to the Manager.
He quickly and kindly said yes and I waited for about 2 minutes before the same rude curly haired lady came storming from the back, you could just feel her negative angry attitude before she even spoke.
And again I told her how much I did not appreciate her rude accusation and how she completely ruined my Birthday lunch with her distorted lies and eyes.
She then continued to argue with me saying she knew what she saw and that is why she did what she did.
Again I told her there is no way he was ever out of the stroller and on her table and she then finally apologized but still said she knows what she saw.
This lady has terrible anger issues and she should not be managing this restaurant or employees.
Somone needs to do an investigation on her to see if she is on drugs because a normal professional manager would not accuse / argue back with customers like she was as ready to fight someone.
It was by far the most terrible experience I have ever had in a restaurant and we will never return thanks to her.
She made it very clear that this restaurant is not people or pet friendly but again we can't expect anything from someone who clearly does love or respect themselves which Mattie does not.
She needs to get help.
Her higher management/cooperate should take this review very serious as she will continued to hurt the business in which she is very ungrateful for.
Karma comes fast for liars like her.
God Bless the employees who have to work with this evil lady on a day to day basis.
Respectfully, Nicole...
Read moreReally cool place to grab a bite with ocean views just off the pier. Food was good. Unfortunately, had really bad service. We were a group of 6 so each of us gave the cashier our order then stepped aside to get our self serve water and look for seating. When I gave the cashier my order of fish tacos, I asked if it comes with 3 because it's not noted on the menu, but I saw a picture online showing a plate of 3 and wanted to double check, and she said yes, then I went ahead and ordered that item. When the food started coming out, mine was missing so I asked the waiter if we still had tacos coming. She said she would go in and check the ticket. That prompted us to double check our copy and sure enough it was not on the ticket. The same waiter later came out to drop off food at another table, looked right at me and then tried to hurry away. I already figured out it wasn't on the ticket but I wanted to see if I could just put my order in with her as the line was consistently 15-20 people deep the whole time we were there. I had to call out to her to see what she found out. All she said was "oh it wasn't on your ticket." No ownership of the mistake on behalf of the restaurant or offering to correct it. She just stood there looking at me blankly like, "what?" I asked if she could put in my order so I wouldn't have to get back in line. She said she couldn't and if I didn't want to wait in line, then I could go and order it at the bar. The lack of customer care was disappointing and I had already shared a few bites from other people's plate in my group, so I decided I didn't need to go and put in a new order, plus I didn't want to wait for it since most of my group was finishing up already, but I did want to let the cashier know what happened because I was really looking forward to those tacos. All she said was "I don't remember your order." When I reminded her of our conversation where I asked her a very specific question about it, her response, and side note, I was wearing a very distinct patchwork wool cap that stands out, I could tell it jogged her memory, but she was just standing there in silence, so I told her I didn't need it anymore at this point because my party was pretty much done, but I just wanted to let her know that this happened. She did apologize, which was all I was looking for then I went back to my table. Before I knew it, some guy came and plopped a plate of tacos in front of me, never looked at me, and immediately did a 180 and started rushing off as he said, "here you go." I was just so stunned. They never told me they were going to make my order, especially since I told them I didn't need it anymore due to the wait time (I wasn't looking for free food), but I guess that was their way of trying to make it right, but it was just done with such resentment and bad attitude. I was a kid once working in food service and I would have never treated a customer like that. In fact they were older than I was when I was in food service and I knew better then! I hope the restaurant can provide better training for...
