Nestled on the picturesque beachfront wharf of Pismo Beach, Wooly's offers a delightful culinary escape with its diverse menu and stunning ocean views. Whether you're a seafood aficionado, burger lover, taco enthusiast, or salad connoisseur, Wooly's promises a memorable dining experience for all. The moment you step onto Wooly's outdoor patio, you're greeted with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. The relaxed, beachy vibe is complemented by a welcoming staff and comfortable seating, making it an ideal spot for both casual lunches and romantic dinners. Wooly's menu is a seafood lover's dream. The fish tacos, filled with perfectly seasoned and grilled fish, topped with fresh salsa and a tangy sauce, are a must-try. The clam chowder is creamy and packed with tender clams, offering a perfect start to your meal. For those leaning towards burgers, the Wooly’s BBQ burger with its 1/2 pound patty and classic toppings, does not disappoint. The salads are equally impressive, with the Cobb salad standing out thanks to its generous portions and fresh ingredients. The service at Wooly's is top-notch. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and quick to offer recommendations based on your preferences. Despite its popularity, the wait times are reasonable, and the team ensures that your dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. Wooly's also boasts an excellent selection of beverages. From local craft beers to refreshing cocktails, there's something to complement every meal. The beachfront margarita, with its perfect balance of sweetness and tang, is especially refreshing on a warm day. Wooly's on the beachfront wharf in Pismo Beach is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and unbeatable views makes it a standout choice for both locals and visitors. Whether you're in the mood for seafood, a hearty burger, tacos, or a fresh salad, Wooly's delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!

During our recent Pismo trip, we decided to stop at Wooly's for a bite to eat, some adult beverages, and to take in the gorgeous views. Wooly's is a hybrid between self-serve and table service dining. The self-serve part consists of visiting the order counter and placing your order. You are assigned a number for your table and a server brings your food to you. After we determined what we wanted to order, my wife found us a nice outdoor table with beautiful views of the Pacific. I placed our orders: she ordered the "Baja Fish Tacos" and I ordered the "Chowder Fries". While we were waiting for our food, I went to the large open bar and ordered two glasses of house Cabernet. What I received were two cans of red wine at $16 each. Normally, that would be a decent price for a good glass of wine. But canned wine is anything but good as we found out. It really was not good. My wife wanted a different drink, so I ordered her a Blue Hawaiian, which consisted of Skyy pineapple vodka, blue curacao, Bacardi, pineapple, and coconut. She said the drink was just ok. We may have been better off ordering draft beer. When our food arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at the large portions. She loved her tacos. My Chowder Fries were really good. My dish consisted of waffle fries in a skillet, topped with clam chowder, cheese, bacon, and green onions. It was a large serving and I couldn't finish it. It is probably a dish best shared with two or more people. So, the views were great, the food was good, and the adult beverages that we ordered were not very good (especially the wine). I would go again just for the views and the food, but would choose another beverage.

Wooly’s was recommended on my way down to Southern Cali and the views did not disappoint. The view from the patio is gorgeous , ocean waves and surfers doing their thing. I even saw some dolphins and whales spouts from my table. I ordered a Paloma with casa amigos tequila and it was strong in a good way :) it don’t need pineapple though, Grapefruit is just fine. The fish tacos were filling, however, coming from a true Mexican the tortillas could have been warmed up a little more so that it wouldn’t be so soft. The description of the tacos is deceiving though because I couldn’t find mango or lemon flavor in there at all. Service was excellent, I was greeted and guided by a polite young lady on what to do when I was ready to order. You order at the counter, self seat, and wait for the buzzer to buzz. I took one star off because they don’t wipe down the tables after a guest is done eating. I was grossed out that there was pieces of somebody else’s food on most tables including the one I decided to sit at. The plates are left on the table until a staff member gets to picking it up, meanwhile numerous pigeons are desperately picking at what they can, their little legs on table and everything. This practice is very unsanitary . I understand birds are everywhere but the tables should be wiped down since pigeons are known for carrying diseases. I don’t enjoy sharing a table with pigeon microbes. Hopefully they start sanitizing their tables after each guest!

The restaurant Manager Mattie is beyond unprofessional and very rude.

We will be sending another review letter to the owners of the restaurant for her inappropriate behavior as she completely ruined our lunch and experience at Wooly's.

We picked this restaurant because it had the beach view and they advertise as pet friendly, which they are not especially Mattie.

We sat at a large booth table on the patio, we had our pet Tesla the Havenense in a stroller the entire time.

Everything was going fine other than the fact that they have 0 servers to bring condiments such as napkins and ketchup, you have to get it yourself from the bar area which I'm not a drinker so approaching the bar area when your a non drinker is very uncomfortable.

You also have to go up to the counter across from the bar to put your order in and they give you a number for your table like a old fashioned diner to bring the food out to you.

There were no menus available, you have to look at the menu as you walk in on a chalkboard.

If they did have paper menus there was not a person working to ask questions and they were not in a easy access location to find however I didn't see any menus or anyone /anywhere to ask.

Towards the middle of our meal a curly haired lady stormed up to our table and LOUDELY rudely stated " YOUR DOG IS NOT ALLOWED ON THE TABLE" our Tesla the Havenense was in his stroller facing our table at the corner end, he was nowhere near being ON the table as she rudley accused us of...

We responded and said he is not on the table and she snapped back as fast as possible and said " Well he was when I walked by earlier!"

We both sat and looked at each other in shock as she totally just ruined our entire lunch for no reason with her terrible lies and accuasations as he never once was near the table as he lay comfortably in his stroller.

This incident was beyond unprofessional and Mattie crossed the line by embarrassing us in her restaurant, in front of other patrons and pet owners who were trying to enjoy their experience as well.

(It felt like a scene off a movie where she was the terrible step mother yelling at her kids who she didn't like)

I am not a person who allows people to talk down others so I went to the only place I could find an actual employee working which was the nice bartender man who I asked if I could talk to the Manager.

He quickly and kindly said yes and I waited for about 2 minutes before the same rude curly haired lady came storming from the back, you could just feel her negative angry attitude before she even spoke.

And again I told her how much I did not appreciate her rude accusation and how she completely ruined my Birthday lunch with her distorted lies and eyes.

She then continued to argue with me saying she knew what she saw and that is why she did what she did.

Again I told her there is no way he was ever out of the stroller and on her table and she then finally apologized but still said she knows what she saw.

This lady has terrible anger issues and she should not be managing this restaurant or employees.

Somone needs to do an investigation on her to see if she is on drugs because a normal professional manager would not accuse / argue back with customers like she was as ready to fight someone.

It was by far the most terrible experience I have ever had in a restaurant and we will never return thanks to her.

She made it very clear that this restaurant is not people or pet friendly but again we can't expect anything from someone who clearly does love or respect themselves which Mattie does not.

She needs to get help.

Her higher management/cooperate should take this review very serious as she will continued to hurt the business in which she is very ungrateful for.

Karma comes fast for liars like her.

God Bless the employees who have to work with this evil lady on a day to day basis.

Respectfully, Nicole...

Really cool place to grab a bite with ocean views just off the pier. Food was good. Unfortunately, had really bad service. We were a group of 6 so each of us gave the cashier our order then stepped aside to get our self serve water and look for seating. When I gave the cashier my order of fish tacos, I asked if it comes with 3 because it's not noted on the menu, but I saw a picture online showing a plate of 3 and wanted to double check, and she said yes, then I went ahead and ordered that item. When the food started coming out, mine was missing so I asked the waiter if we still had tacos coming. She said she would go in and check the ticket. That prompted us to double check our copy and sure enough it was not on the ticket. The same waiter later came out to drop off food at another table, looked right at me and then tried to hurry away. I already figured out it wasn't on the ticket but I wanted to see if I could just put my order in with her as the line was consistently 15-20 people deep the whole time we were there. I had to call out to her to see what she found out. All she said was "oh it wasn't on your ticket." No ownership of the mistake on behalf of the restaurant or offering to correct it. She just stood there looking at me blankly like, "what?" I asked if she could put in my order so I wouldn't have to get back in line. She said she couldn't and if I didn't want to wait in line, then I could go and order it at the bar. The lack of customer care was disappointing and I had already shared a few bites from other people's plate in my group, so I decided I didn't need to go and put in a new order, plus I didn't want to wait for it since most of my group was finishing up already, but I did want to let the cashier know what happened because I was really looking forward to those tacos. All she said was "I don't remember your order." When I reminded her of our conversation where I asked her a very specific question about it, her response, and side note, I was wearing a very distinct patchwork wool cap that stands out, I could tell it jogged her memory, but she was just standing there in silence, so I told her I didn't need it anymore at this point because my party was pretty much done, but I just wanted to let her know that this happened. She did apologize, which was all I was looking for then I went back to my table. Before I knew it, some guy came and plopped a plate of tacos in front of me, never looked at me, and immediately did a 180 and started rushing off as he said, "here you go." I was just so stunned. They never told me they were going to make my order, especially since I told them I didn't need it anymore due to the wait time (I wasn't looking for free food), but I guess that was their way of trying to make it right, but it was just done with such resentment and bad attitude. I was a kid once working in food service and I would have never treated a customer like that. In fact they were older than I was when I was in food service and I knew better then! I hope the restaurant can provide better training for...
