I love Mediterranean food, and this is a great spot to get some! Pasha Cafe has a nice interior and a great menu as well. The only main downside I hav experienced from their food was the price. Still, I tried the rice pudding, haydari (Turkish yogurt), and pita. All of it was delicious. I have tried numerous Haydari yogurts across Pittsburgh, and what sets this one apart is the little red sparkling on top (not quite sure what it is exactly, though). They had a great balance of walnuts to creamy and delicious yogurt. It is great to dip with the pita, and the portion is pretty good (although price is definitely on the high side). The pita was decently high quality. It was charred and pretty soft on the inside. Not 100% sure whether or not it is homemade, but good quality nonetheless. I got the pita for free with my order of the haydari. Finally, I ended off the meal with the rice pudding. It was unique in that there was a casing on top. Not sure I'm a fan of this topping, but not bad either. The inside is delicious, with creamy rice and the perfect amount of sweetness. I would recommend. All in all, this is a great spot for Mediterranean food. Although the food is a bit expensive, I still believe it is worth it for the high quality items. Everything I tried (especially the rice pudding and haydari, and to a lesser extent the pita) was delicious.

Nice, cozy, and homely feeling place. The food they serve can be authentic, and thus, it might come across as bland. But you can ask for some sauces and add some more flavor. In cold appetizers, we tried their potato salad, spicy eggplant, and hummus. The potato salad was okayish. The spicy eggplant was better but could have more spice, hummus was nice but not anything different. They also served hot appetizers, and we tried their. They don't have many entree options tbh. We tried cigarette bored, and it wasn't anything else but feta cheese spring rolls. These were nice but salty. Their pita was really freshly baked and light. We tried their falafel platter, and those falafel were really delicious. Even the zucchini fritters that came with it were nice and light. I wish there were more sauces in this dish. This plate felt a little too dry to me. In desserts, we had their Kazandibi, and it was the best dish of the night! We literally cleaned the entire plate in seconds . This place is a nice option for mediterranean food, but hopefully, they add more flavor and sauces to their dishes, but their desserts are too good. It might feel it's a bit pricy for this area and the place, but it's worth visiting once.

They charged my debit card the wrong amount! Visited this place for the first time on 11/1/2021 for dinner. The total, with tip, charged to my debit card was greater than what I authorized. My handwriting is clear. From prior reviews I’m reading I see this isn’t the first time this has happened here, so I believe it was intensional. Hello Pasha! … some people reconcile their accounts, and someone will eventually notice! Reminds me when I worked retail; they would catch employees every now and then that would void out a cash sale and pocket the cash. They each thought they were the first to think of that scam and nobody would notice. It seems the same mentality is employed here.

As for my experience the food was good. I had the lamb chops, but it was only 4 minuscule lamb chops that barely had a single bite of meat in each one. Also, given that fact it was over priced.

To use the bathroom you have to go through a ‘back of the house” area where the hallway was lined with chairs with dish trays and other clutter on them. You go past a room on your left that looks like it could be another small dining area but is so filled with clutter that they lay a privacy divider against it to attempt to obscure it I guess.

The deck area looks nice, and may be best thing I observed. It was too cold to eat out there.

Overall this place looks better from the outside than it does on the inside. Food was good but the small portions and price were turnoffs. Service was just okay. I would say it’s worth a try if it wasn’t for them cheating customers by charging a greater amount on their card; which is a huge negative. If it wasn’t for that I’d rate this place 3 stars. And given the debit card issue I can’t suggest even trying this place. Too bad, it has...

I’ve wanted to check out this restaurant for a while. The atmosphere seemed exciting and the reviews looked good. I finally had the opportunity to eat here recently. Unfortunately my experience with the food was not exactly what I expected.

We started with an order of fried Calamari which seemed to be over cooked or fried at too high of a temperature as the breading tasted a bit bitter and dry. I then ordered a chicken kabab which was honestly quite disappointing. For a dish that is $15, the chicken was very dry and clearly over cooked. I believe the chicken wasn’t marinated long enough for the acidity of the marinade to tenderize the chicken. Additionally this restaurant doesn’t understand how to properly grill chicken. It seemed that there were too many patches of burnt meat. I believe they needed to rotate / flip the protein at a higher frequency. Additionally the side salad was quite disappointing. The tomatoes they used were very unripe and firm.

As for the atmosphere, I really enjoyed it. I liked the decor and the waitress was very friendly. It was unfortunate that my experience with the food wasn’t up to par. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy eating Mediterranean food. There are plenty of other restaurants around the area that serve kababs with more tender chicken and better cooked chicken at a cheaper price. I wasn’t sure if my experience was a fluke. Hopefully this place improves the quality...
