Sushi and Rolls — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

I’m very rarely downtown at lunch time, but every time I am, I look forward to eating at this place. A friend introduced me to this restaurant years ago and I’m so glad they are still around.

It’s counter service and they only take cash (and FYI, they don’t accept the juror discount vouchers other restaurants in this food court do). Service is brisk and professional. My food was ready in just a few minutes.

I always get the kyu-don, and it is DELICIOUS every time. It’s a pretty generous portion of beef, egg, and rice. I like it with the oil added on top to give it a mild spice. I’ve been tempted to try some of the other things on the menu — they all sound good — but the kyu-don is so good I just can’t not have it.

I’ll be looking forward to coming back the next time...

First timer here - I stumbled upon this sushi restaurant on my trip to downtown Pittsburgh.

I usually don't leave Yelp reviews, but had to leave one here because the salmon sushi pictured here was absolutely fantastic - still reminiscing about the marbled fatty salmon melting in my mouth drool...

My girlfriend ordered the sashimi donburi, which we could see that it was prepared with fresh ingredients (i.e. diced raw fish, crisp lettuce and leafy green vegetables, carrots and cucumbers) and we shared the udon, which was a great addition to warm up our bodies in the cold weather.

The owners/workers were extremely friendly and helpful, which was a bonus!

Super fresh & delicious sushi. This is my go-to every time I am in town during lunch. The best Shrimp Tempura roll in the world - it's perfectly simple & focuses on the quality of the shrimp, tempura flakes, and sushi rice. Get it with their spicy mayo, which usually has that touch of sweetness that is like heaven.

The Owners are lovely people & if you go enough, they'll remember...
