🍦 What we ordered: • Jr. Scoop (Butterscotch Toffee) – Sugar Cone – $4.25 • Single Scoop split ½ Butter Pecan + ½ Butterscotch Toffee – Sugar Cone – $4.75 🧠 We asked for cups on the side — these were two-handed cones, no question.
—
👅 Flavor notes: • Butterscotch Toffee: Buttery, smooth, with soft bits of toffee that didn’t overtake the bite • Butter Pecan: Heavier on the pecans than the flavor. The base leaned a little plain — almost watery in taste — but it was full of nuts and held texture well. 🍦 Melt-wise, it held up just long enough to enjoy without rushing — not that artificial stuff that sits like wax, but not soft-serve-level meltdown either. You’ve got a comfortable few minutes before it starts sliding.

✅ Would I come back? Absolutely. The ice cream was good, the scoops were serious, and the side cup wasn’t extra — but it...
Read moreFound this place Saturday evening looking for a new ice cream place to try with my son. He had the s’mores and I tried the buckeye fever! Fantastic! Excellent service! Came back today with my daughter and they impressed yet again! She got the blue sky and lemon sorbet. I went for the coconut chip this time. Did not disappoint! And the young men working there tonight were just as nice as the staff the night before! My daughter should have gotten a cup instead of a cone. Ice cream on sorbet doesn’t quite stick together very well especially stepping outside when it’s hot and immediately starts melting. Well it hit the ground. I went back in to purchase her a cup with the blue sky that didn’t stick and they didn’t even charge me for it. That is rare these days! They definitely have our returning business not just for the awesome ice cream but for their standards and what their customers mean to them. I found out it was started in Bexley and family owned! Will be back to...
Read moreWe love Johnson’s. My husband grew up with the Bexley shop and it’s the only ice cream he really enjoys. We love the hot fudge sundae. Their hot fudge is thick but not sticky sweet. We were in the New Albany area and had dinner. Opted for nearby Johnson’s rather than ordering dessert. We both ordered our faves - hot fudge sundae. What an incredible disappointment. On both there was a minuscule amount of hot fudge. Really stingy amount. They have upped the prices but decreased the amount of topping. In fact when I looked and saw the increased price another change was that you got 2 toppings - which they did not tell us. But since we only had one topping we should have gotten double the amount of topping not half the amount of one topping. Since this was our first time in the NA store we thought maybe it was different than the Bexley store. To find out - you will have to read my Johnson’s...
