So I went in for the pancakes with the strawberries on top and white chocolates platter. As I cut my pancakes, started eating a few, I noticed something crawling from my strawberries onto my plate. I tried to get my waitress attention but she was behind the counter focused on something else. I heard a tell another waitree to bring the rest of my food. While trying to keep the bug from getting off the plate before it could be seen by them i tried to pick it up and i guess i killed the lil guy and wiped it on my napkin which i showed the manager. The other waitress got to my table with the rest of my meal (eggs, bacon, etc) i told her it was a bug on my food and what i tried to do to save it so it could be seen, she said, ill go get the manager. Looking closer at the food, the strawberries were started to rot so i understand why there was a bug in which case they should not have been served. The manager came over said he'll cover my order is there anything else i'd like, so i ordered a burger i did not want and more pancakes. Cause i really came for the pancakes. After getting my food to go, to my surprise at the register the manager rang me up the cashier was even surprised that he still charged me for everything that she just walked away like oops!. Still trying to give the manager a chance to fix the order, he started to pretend that he was sooo busy like he forgot what he said, "ill take care of your order for the bug being in your food." He even had the nerve to speak as though he spoke very little english like he did not understand what i was asking. I still ended up paying the entire order even though the manager should have done something to make it better... My table was even sticky minus the syrup that was stained from the customers before us. Worst dining experience EVER!!! Never again WILL I EVER GO TO DENNYS AT 1830 N. Central Expy unless im ordering a death wish../ PSA: KEEP driving to the next denny's in Allen its still on central expwy they have excellant customer...
Read moreI wish there was a ZERO star option. I was leery before I even walked in the door due to the area looking a little rough. Looked past and moved forward. I tried to use the bathroom before I went to my table and it smelled horribly, like a weeks worth of poop diapers horrible and there was trash all over the floors. I didn't even get a chance to get into the stalls to see the state they were in, I left and sat at my table. We waited a long time to get our order taken and it wasn't busy at all. The waiter took our order, and we waited even longer for the food. Once it got to us my sandwich was cold and I was missing part of my order, no big deal I just told him It was missing and he brought it back a min later. Here's where it goes down and fast, my plate had grape jelly in a few places towards the edge of the plate, none of our orders had grape jelly. None of the food was touching those spots so AGAIN, I let it slide. Then my husband found a black hair in his eggs and as I was drinking my drink, there were thick white spots inside of my glass 🤢🤢🤢🤢. I couldn't eat but maybe half of my sandwich. I feel as though I need to stick my fingers down my throat and force myself to throw up what I did eat. My husband and I spoke with the waiter and told him our concerns and he asked if I'd like a togo cup.....I said no, thanks just the check. He did deduct 20% off the bill which was fine but that's not the point, the money isn't the concern nor will it change the outcome. This place is just GROSS, it never should have been able to happen and something should be done about it. I'll never return to this location or any other Dennys. I'd love to attach my photos but no...
Read moreCame here to wait on my vehicle being fixed. Upon arriving, it immediately smelled faintly like wet dog in the building. Not sure what that was about.. But once I had my food in front of me, it all overpowered the smell. It was pretty barren here. Besides one other customer who was stranded, nobody else was there. Kinda nice honestly. I don't really care for a restaurant full of people. The floors were dirty, but I'm sure there is only 2 or 3 people working here so most likely no down time to clean up. My menu was also dirty. As far as food goes; it was okay. Nothing special. Not sure if the portions outweighed the price. 12.79 for just the meal alone and another 3.99 for the cheesecake. The toast was good, and i didnt expect it. The mashed potatoes were bland, no buttery flavor, no garlic no onion. Definitely could have used a hint more salt. The steak was chewy for being medium rare. The broccoli and bread went lukewarm pretty fast. No fans on either, so not sure why. My server, Santiea was attentive, but I had to get up to give her my order. The food came out at a reasonable time. The cheesecake was okay. The whipped cream on top was a little watery, most likely from being outside of the fridge for awhile. The crust was a little dry and crumbly.
Overall this was an okay experience. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat, without many other customers ruining the ambience, this will be the...
