Chiliās #154 Plantation. This location has disappointed me several times. I kept coming back because the food was cooked properly. Tonight was a disappointment to say the least. I couldāve gotten better quesadillas from Taco Bell, Iām not exaggerating. I order the Chicken Ranch Quesadillas. They had been overcooked, they were crunchy and poorly presented. Unfortunately I was starving and ate almost all of it (I regret not taking a pic). When I had like 3 pieces left,I wanted and honest opinion, so I call the server and asked her if the Quesadillas are usually that crunchy; she didnāt even answer and said she was gonna get the manager when I hadnāt even asked for one. The Manager (lady. Not the Asian one) comes by the booth Iām sitting and just sits⦠really? I again go over the issue and genuinely ask her if thatās how theyāre making the quesadillas now (crunchy) and that if that was the case then I just wonāt order them again. Her explanation was that a lot of people just like them like that, and later agreed that theyāre not supposed to be that crunchy, she said she was going to address that and thanked me for my feedback. Let me be clear, I donāt complain to get free meals. She couldāve offer me something. Hey, how about this: ā Iām sorry sir. You know what, the next time you visit us weāll offer you a free appetizerā By doing that, you not only bring me back to your restaurant, You are making sure I spend more money because, I wonāt just eat the appetizer. Furthermore when itās all said and done you will have taken care of your guest and made sure they continue coming back
And finally, probably knowing what was coming, the server, promptly assisted paying the bill and took the Terminal or whatever you call it from me because she/management knew I was just gonna give them a bad review. But I guess it worked out because I otherwise wouldnāt have gone in such detail about this experience. Tonight wasnāt the first time servers play dumb with that Gadget and just take it away or is just not On the table when you sit.
I have a question. Who checks the food before it goes out? You have two MOD and Expo or whatever they call it nowadaysā¦. What are we doing??? It is unacceptable to run a place where the whole staff is just clueless. 0 pride.
The runners donāt t slam the plates on the table because if they did, they probably get fired.
How about: āhey guys, enjoy! Could I get you anything else?ā How difficult is that? It is so simple I have pointed this out before but management doesnāt seem to care.
I must candidly point out, the management Team at this Chilis itās below average.
I am flabbergasted. NOTE TO UPPER MANAGEMENT, REGIONAL MANAGERS ETC: When was the last time you dinned at one of your...

Before I start I would like to say the only shining light in this entire experience was our server ā the one person actually doing their job with professionalism. I asked them for the names of management and higher uppers. Iām not naming the server here, because I donāt want them to get in trouble for being honest about whatās really going on. Iāve been coming to this Chiliās for years, but after what I experienced tonight, Iām done ā and honestly, ashamed I ever kept supporting this location. This place is infested with termites, and itās not new Iāve seen them but this was the worst yet so finally Iām writing a review. Management, district managers, and corporate have all chosen to look the other way. You know it. I know it. Everyone in that building knows it. AMANDA, the GM, KNOWS. MARIA, the district manager, KNOWS. And still ā nothing has been done!! While trying to eat dinner with my family, termites were literally flying around the dining room, around our food, on the walls, and at one point, one flew directly into my mouth as I walked to the bathroom. Read that again. INTO. MY. MOUTH. I was absolutely disgusted. And we werenāt the only ones. People at nearby tables were swatting termites away and covering their plates with napkins just to keep eating. Thatās how bad it was. There is zero excuse for this. This Chiliās stays packed every night. Itās busy, profitable, and clearly doing enough business to afford proper pest control. But instead of handling it like professionals, itās obvious theyāre trying to cut corners, probably because the cost of fixing it the right way would eat into someoneās bonus. Thatās not just cheap, itās negligent. And the fact that this has been allowed to go on for so long as to have become this bad is absolutely unacceptable. This management team has allowed an unsafe and disgusting situation to fester, and if no one at Chiliās is going to hold them accountable, then someone outside needs to. Iām filing a complaint with corporate and reporting this to the health department first thing Monday. This is a very serious health code violation. And Iām not just doing it once. Iām going to keep calling, keep emailing, and keep pushing until something gets done. Iām insulted that I spent years supporting this location while management clearly didnāt care enough to fix it. I also have a friend who works for a local news outlet, and Iāll be reaching out to them to see if theyād like to do a story. Because clearly, nothing will change here unless someone shines a spotlight directly on them. This is dirty dining at its finest. Shame on every single person whoās known about this and done nothing. Absolutely...
Ā Ā Ā Read morecame in for dinner tonight with my daughter. hostess was kind enough to put her phone down to seat us. she attempted to seat us at 3 dirty booths and was surprised we didnt want to sit amongst the dirt. finally i pointed to a half booth/half table that was clean. seated, and we saw many servers, they all made eye contact with us too. we listened to someone singing happy birthday, saw more servers walk past us and make eye contact, yet no one bothered to greet us. others were greeted, but not us. it was obvious we should have been greeted, bc we had menus in front of us. but completely ignored. we got up to leave, and interrupted the hostess while she was texting to let her know we were leaving bc we were being ignored. she said "sorry", but you can tell she couldnt care less. i was a server, and my goal during the time i worked at a restaurant was to wait on many tables for tips and turn the table so another would come in, so i could make more tips. if i had a hostess that sat a table and didnt bother to tell me if i was busy or let a customer walk out i would lose it on her/him. thats income walking out of the door.
the servers must be really wealthy and not need to serve customers at this chilis, and i guess you dont have to pay rent or overhead, so you dont need customers. got to be a nice setup for management too. they get to operate a dirty restaurant, allow the FOH staff to finish texts/calls before acknowledging the paying customer, and not worry about how much profit they turn since its completely acceptable for a customer to walk out and servers ignore them.
in th end, im glad i left. i picked up an 8 piece box of chicken from the new chicken place next to aldis for way less than i would have spent at chilis, and the best part is the chicken was delicious. reminder of why i dont want to eat out at these chain restaurants and save my money for mom/pop or more upscale places. just go next door to duffys-10000% better and cleaner.
this chilis is a joke and management should be ashamed of themselves for running the place like they are.
remember, "everything rises and falls on leadership".....meaning its managements fault this restaurant location is...
