Duffy's Sports Grill — Restaurant in Plantation

Welp.. what a disappointment to say the least. We came to have a quick appetizer to eat and drink the gummy bear mojitos that I tried at the West Palm Beach location and what a let down. The mojito was ok not as great as the one I tried the first time. Our waiter Jay (Camila) suggested we try the Nachos but sub the chicken for carne asada so we took the recommendation and when the nachos came to the table it was chicken lol. So I kindly reminded her we had taken her recommendation and she brought out the chicken one. She looked at me blank and said oh, but I didn’t write it down… so I just giggled and said ok, but remember you personally recommended it and we went with that recommendation for the 1 thing we ordered to eat lol. (We literally only ordered 1 food item, how do you mess that up?) She said she would take it back and that it would be a while for the new ones to come out. For detail to note, when she put the plate on the table, a nacho slid off the plate with chicken and she was millimeters away from grabbing it and putting it on my plate until she caught herself and didn’t do it lol.

Well we waited for the nachos to come back out, the meat was def not carne asada, it was like boiled strips of meat 🤢 I attached a photo for reference as we took it To Go to give it our always hungry teenager lol

Nonetheless, we paid and left her 20% tip despite the lack of service - and on the way out I remembered they had given us an MVP card at the Duffys in West Palm Beach location the other day so I asked the girl in the front if that was something she could help with even though we had already paid and she said “no? You can do it before you pay or after you pay. Get your server” so I replied oh that’s fine, no worries; next time. And my husband proceded to open the door for us to leave and she waived her hands at me rudely saying well now I’m gonna call your waiter so you’re gonna HAVE to wait for her and proceeded to shout “Camila Camila!” I was in shock that she had such an attitude when we had clearly said it was fine and to disregard? We didn’t MAKE her call our waiter and were simply inquiring.

Jay or Camila (idk what her real name is),came fast, after Ms. Nessa full of attitude and unprofessionalism, shouted her over and she swiped the MVP card, I thanked her and we left.

We will not be returning to this location. Y’all need to work on your customer service skills because Mc Donald’s does better than you guys and that...

If you have a friend or a group of friends that are sports fanatics, then Duffy's Sports Grill is the place to bring them to. There are flat screen TVs all over the restaurant airing various sports that no matter where you sit, you have a good view. Located in The Fountains plaza, Duffy's Sports Grill is a large sports bar that offers the following items:

I was nicely greeted by the hostess who sat me down at an available table and handed me the menu. While overlooking the menu, two servers (Nicole and Sadeeq) came by and asked if I wanted to order something to drink. I told them that it was my first time at the restaurant and if they could surprise me with a sweet drink. Minutes later Nicole came back with a drink called a Mai Tai, which was lightly sweet and to my liking. Oh, I forgot to mention that it was a 2 for 1 drink...WHOO HOO!!

For starters, I ordered the New England clam chowder followed by Philly cheesesteak and fries. Here's my take on the food...the clam chowder was very delicious and flavorful and the cheesesteak was cooked perfectly. The steak was tender with onions, mushrooms, and provolone cheese; served in a soft sub roll. The fries was fried to a golden brown. I still had a bit room for dessert. Sadeeq suggested I try the fried cheesecake...???...now, I LOVE cheesecake, but I never had it fried before; and Sadeeq assured me that I would like it. Surprisingly, it was good. Creamy cheesecake with a thin fried crust on the outside served with vanilla ice cream and whip cream...mmm-mmmm.

I think this might be my favorite hang out spot; and when basketball season starts, it's the perfect place to bring my son to watch a Miami Heat game or his favorite team (Golden State Warriors). Both Nicole and Sadeeq provided satisfactory customer service. They were both friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and came by the table in a timely manner to check if things were to my liking. Look forward...

My first time there on 6/15/23. It definitely has a nice atmosphere and seemed clean…which to me is a big plus! My friend and I ordered the Duffy burgers, she said it’s her go to on the menu …The presentation of the burger is very nice. It tasted good, but I’ve had better burgers and I wish they had a different type of french fry. However, the waiter was very attentive and made the experience wonderful. His name was Angel and his name fits him. The manager did come to our table to say hi and he did walk around the restaurant and check in on the patrons , which was very nice, he was also cleaning up which you never see… the staff and management seemed to have a good relationship, which really makes it for a comfortable environment. Even though the burger and fries were an 8, I give the restaurant a 10! What the burger n fries lacked… the staff and atmosphere made up for…and for me…that is what makes my dining experience a good one. I wish they offered Coke and not Pepsi drinks 😟 I also liked the outside seating choice…it looks very tropical and relaxing. ( it was just too hot outside that day to sit outside ) all in all I’m very happy to have gone to Duffys and will definitely go back! Live music, karaoke, or trivia night would...
