Hello my fellow Google Reviewers , I just have to give this a 10 star review. From start to finish it was an awesome experience. The service was outstanding and very attentive to me and my sons dinner date. Atmosphere overall was very calm and relaxing with a nice calm music playing in the background. Now let’s get to the good part. How is the food? That is what you all are here for. The food was very enjoyable and very affordable. The flavor of our Charrasco Colombiano steak was one pound of meat with fries, rice and we swapped out our salad for red beans. It was by far one of the best steaks I have had in a long time. Also the steak is 1 pound of meat. Knowing traveling with a child, I could state that you could share this together. We also did get an appetizer which we did the four mini empanadas. Two chicken and two beef. The hot sauce that comes with it is house made and does have a little bit of a kick, but a very enjoyable one. Or you could just go with the two on top of it if you’re not into hot sauce. Also, we got dessert at the end of the meal. Oh boy, how do we have enough room in these stomachs to grab it. We went ahead and got the Tres leches which I am a big fan. By far from start to finish I cannot wait to come back again and make more memories with my son and other fellow friends I have. Have I also noted that they do have gift cards? Which also makes a great option for a birthday gift or for any special moment in your life. First of all, I would like to say that we visited your restaurant based on a strong recommendation from a friend. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing from the moment we arrived until we left.

Upon arrival, we were told there would be a 15–20 minute wait. However, after waiting, we received a text that our reservation had been canceled, something we never requested. This created confusion at the entrance, where it appeared the hostess and another staff member were arguing about the seating arrangement.

Once we were finally seated, we did enjoy the appetizer: the guacamole with onions and sausage hot and flavorful. However, things quickly went downhill from there. We ordered the platter that includes pork, steak, plantains, rice, and beans. Sadly, everything arrived cold. The pork and steak didn’t appear fresh, and the overall presentation and quality were very disappointing. The flavor was off, with an overwhelming taste of charcoal.

We sent the dish back, and our server mentioned she needed to show it to the manager. While she was polite, the experience left us unsatisfied, both in terms of the food and the overall atmosphere, which felt cold and uninviting.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at el balcón de las americas at plantation and I must say that the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff, and it was the attentive and delightful service of our waitress that truly stood out.

Our waitress, Sandra, demonstrated a level of professionalism and warmth that made our dining experience truly memorable. My wife and I are carnivores and they have adapted La Bandeja Paisa to be a carnivorous dish and we appreciate it very much. Her attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction truly exceeded our expectations.

In conclusion, I cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional service provided by Sandra. I highly recommend el balcón de las americas Restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic taste of Colombian cuisine, paired with impeccable service.
