I'd noticed Helena's Coffee before and finally decided to try their latte. While the café's aesthetic is appealing and the pastries look delicious, I was unfortunately disappointed by the coffee itself.

Despite having all the necessary equipment to craft an excellent cup, the latte fell short of expectations. Surprisingly, I've had better coffee from fast-food chains during road trips. I ordered two cups, hoping the first might have been a fluke, but both were subpar.

Walked into Helena's in the later afternoon and it was about 70% at capacity on a Saturday. It was nice, quiet and chill atmosphere. It was refreshing to come across a coffee shop outside of the typical "popular corporate shops" that are open till 6pm on a Saturday. The first thing I noticed were the large pictures on the walls showcasing a younger lady in different popular countries with Helena's branded coffee in hand which was pretty cool decor wise. The staff was really friendly when I came in and it continued to when I placed my order. This coffee shop boasts a wide variety of flavors that can be added to your coffee far from the typical mocha, French vanilla etc, but cinnamon bun, gingerbread, peppermint and so much more! I ordered a latte gingerbread flavored which was delicious as well as the bretzel and pistachio macarons. Definitely recommended as they have public wifi access and it doesn't get too crazy and side note... they are dog...
