Big Mac, Quarter pounders, hot nuggets, Crispy fries, there's only one place, McDonalds. Adding to the list of the many deductible food's that McDonalds is ready to offer, I was curious and hungry. After days of trying many fast food places I was getting tired and quite bored of the selection I had. Pizza one day, take out the next, it just simply was not cutting it. Then the brilliant idea came to mind. McDonalds! It had been ages since I had last been. McDonalds was the place that amused parents and their kids to have a great time. A play place for them to run around and when they get hungry a nice happy meal and a nice chocolate milk to wash down the fatigue after sliding down, and the best part, (in my opinion) the toys. Bringing a flood of memories back I thought I should try to revisit my of childhood memories, and to see how they were now. I hopped on the bus and headed towards my destination. As I passed by the Golden Arches I called out and requested a stop. I jumped off and immediately was greeted with the sweet and delicious aroma. My mouth watered and I started for the door. I walked in and took a look around. The glass doors allowed entry into a vast lobby. Tables lined in neat rows able to seat multiple families but also able to keep their privacy. Next I saw the polished floor and noticed that it was spotless. My shoes were squeaking and I was quite amused. I wondered who was responsible for this applauding work? Then I saw a old man with a hat and a neat moustache. He had a mop and was doing his job diligently. Upon closer examination he had glasses and had sweat beading down his face. He was cleaning the playland tables which were equally as clean as the floor. It gave the a first impression that McDonalds doesn't mess around which made me a little more confident. I stepped up to the line and a nice woman took my order. It had been years since I've last been and had no idea what they still had or didn't have. She was nice enough to suggest ideas and help me make a decision. I took my number and sat down at the playland. As I sat and watched I saw kids running around screaming and laughing with joy. It brought me back when I was a child playing here yelling for my mom to have a look at me at the top of the slide. ( I must admit I shed a tear or two.) NUMBER 42! quickly cut out of my daydream I checked my number and saw that it was the right one. I quickly hurried out of my seat to get my food. As I stepped up to the counter to receive my food they apologized for the wait. I said what for it was only a few minutes. It really showed me they care about their customer service. I sat down with my food and opened my McRib. The aroma of the sauce at first, Stung but after a few seconds it was soon replaced by a sweet mouth watering smell of sizing pork with tangy pickles and sweet onions. Hardly being able to resist I took a bite. Never, Never in my life had I had something that could hold a candle to this. I looked down to take another bite but I had already eaten it all! I took a sip of coke and I immediate imagined me in a tropical beach enjoying a nice cold drink away from my job and enjoying myself. I could feel the wind on my face as the sweet sugar washed away the worries and the sharp crisp carbonation added a sweet sensation to my mouth. Putting the drink down I took a fry and dropped it. It was hot. But I wasn't mad, I was glad. As I waited for my fires to cool down I opened my nuggets and took a bite. The breading of the chicken added a crunch just the right amount as if it took my hand and let my mouth towards the soft juicy chicken. Warm and moist meat melted in my mouth and I just sat there enjoying the flavor. My fries had cooled down enough at this point that I ate them. They were no less than the other food items. I washed down the morsels with coke and was about to throw it away when the nice gentleman from earlier offered to throw my food away which I obliged and he immediately wiped that table as well. All in all I can say this far exceeded my expectation. You've...
Read moreI’m not usually the guy who writes online reviews, but I was so disappointed for a number of reasons with this recent experience that I’ve decided to take a few mins to share what you might expect from this location. A couple of nights ago it was late and I was in a hurry to get home, so I bit the bullet and hit the drive through. I ordered a double quarter pounder combo meal and substituted my drink for a large shake. First off, for whatever reason, I was sent to park and wait for my food... this wait lasted over 10 mins. I watched at least 8-15 cars go through the line while I sat waiting...for one combo meal, completely defeating the point of my going there to eat in the first place. Secondly, the fries were so undercooked that they were literally inedible... my dog usually loves a French fry or two (if I allow it) and SHE wouldn’t eat them. Now, the big issue here is partially my blame... but only because I don’t generally eat fast food, so the pricing isn’t something I’m familiar with and when I became suspicious, I figured I’d call later to rectify the situation... which is a story in itself that I’ll get to later. But, as I was pulling into the main highway I started thinking about what I had just paid for this bag full of garbage... they had charged me $13.84. FOURTEEN DOLLARS FOR A DOUBLE ROYAL WITH CHEESE! Oh yeah... and a shake substitute. So, when I got home I decided to look up the menu for that particular location and sure enough... the combo meal (without the substitute) is about $5... the shake alone would have been $2.99. I can’t figure out who could put those two numbers together and come anywhere close to $14. And if you noticed, I just put the individual prices... not the deducted price that the shake should have been, being part of a combo meal... so, It’s completely beyond me. I know some people are terrible at math... but I’ve seen the tills they use. It has more pictures on it than their menu. They are idiot proof. So, The only thing that I can figure is that so many people drive through that window with distractions and possibly when it’s late and people (like me) are tired and just want to get home... a good opportunist could tack on an even $5 or $6 (or in my case just double it) here and there to line their own pocket. And if they get caught? I’m sure there are any number of excuses they could brush it off with... and if it was to become enough of a problem that they get fired??? Well... off to work at Wendy’s lol. But here’s the thing... the odds of it being brought to the managers attention is almost impossible as their phone number that is listed on their website and in the directory is a disconnected number. You literally cannot call this location. As a matter of fact, I’ve tried calling other locations to get the number and they say they either don’t have it, or they don’t answer their own phones. It’s a pretty good racket. Sell sub par food. Rip the customer off. Then make it almost impossible for them to do anything about it. Way to go Macdonalds... the only people “loving it” are you guys... everyone else is...
Read moreUPDATE The new Manager Shawn is his name and he is doing amazing at keeping this place clean not having to ask for your sauces twice they're always there they do struggle a little bit with keeping up with our Rush but I noticed that's when he's not there. But he I mean the manager. Now that they have the new assistant manager I believe and him running the window things are so much better. I hope he keeps up the good work I'm sure he's lost a lot of sleep and given up a lot of family and free time to get this place to where it needs to be but it's people like him who take people like me to give a one-star review and only use a PlayPlace dreading it every time to giving it a 5-star Review today when I never thought that that was possibly happen. To his team keep up the good work try to keep it up on the fries and when you call people over today waiting sections in the parking lot please service in the order that we ordered our food it gets super frustrating because the other day I waited 20 minutes and I was served last and I was the first person there so by the time I got home my daughters milkshake was no longer milkshake. I wish I knew his name is really turing this McDonald's around. It has been years since someone smiled to me here besides the lady at the drive thru until recently and remembered sauces. THANK YOU!!! One visit at a time I'll give them the chance to earn their 5 stars. UPDATE WAITED 17 MIND FOR A KIDS MEAL AND FRENCH FRIES IN THE DRIVE THRU TODAY.. YOU'VE EARNED ONE STAR!! If it wasn't for the play place I would give it one star. Their ice cream machine is constantly broken their ice machine inside is constantly broke broken period every time I bring my son into play order a drink they just hand you your cup and if you forget ask for ice you'll fine yourself flagging someone down behind the counter. I've driven away here two different times waiting for the coffee or a milkshake or something and not once did they ever call me back when they said they would with a redemption code each time. Also they have the worst customer service they don't even care about their customers. Forget about getting napkins or sauces unless you ask after they have already given you your food. You'll receive an annoyed glance as they slam the window in the Drive-Thru grab you the sauces you mentioned when you ordered your food and practically throw your bag at you to get out of the line. 2 years ago they were on top of it so I'm not sure if management changed or what's changed but who goes to McDonald's and doesn't order sauce with their food? I don't know anybody. They are located in an awesome location tons of people go to this McDonalds and it's a shame that it's going to waste with such a poor staff and broken equipment they're obviously raking in the money because they're...
