Details 👇 Part 3 of local Utah farms and markets you can shop. Because shopping local is cooler than supporting an millionaire with gross soft serve. 📍 Oliver’s Place, Pleasant Grove, Utah What is it? It’s a farm (they call themselves agritainment), but more importantly a market and cafe! A few highlights: • I love that the market and cafe are open late! In Utah, especially Utah County, lots of the markets close as early as 4/5pm. This one is open until 7, although if you want to get stuff fresh, go earlier in the morning. • Alllll of the things they sell are locally sourced. Some places do a mix, but these guys take pride in having only local stuff. • And they have SO MUCH! Honey, sourdough, cream cheese, regular cheese, lots of ice cream and gelato, every kind of supplement and protein powder, coconut sugar, lots of sweets, trinkets, jewelry, games, eggs, keifer, and every cut and type of meat you can imagine like…literally everything. Even really cute bags for your farmers market haul! • They also have a market (you get your fry sauce and ketchup out of a cow’s udders lol) that has gluten free goodies like chicken nuggies and Farr’s Ice Cream. They’re open until 9pm! • Their farm is super cute. Hay rides, petting zoos, and really fun stuff for holidays — fall, halloween, Christmas, and spring. Check them out if you can! What city or location should I visit next? Follow me for more Utah local favorites. And be sure to share! Let’s spread the love for our local businesses, farms, and markets. #utahliving #shoplocalbussinesses #farmtok #utahbusiness @Oliver’s Place

Update: We love this place we truly do. But of all the times we have ordered take out now, 3 to 4 of them have been disappointing. We live near point of the mountain and make the drive to pick up our order - or eat in. 3-4 times now when I arrive they tell me they are out of the dressing for the salad that I order. I would not make the drive if I would’ve known this, I would try and just come a different time when they have what we want. Can y’all please update your website or something when you’re out of stuff? It’s incredibly frustrating to drive 20+ min in rush hour each way only to pick up our order and not get what we ordered. Also, a few times they have left out the sauce for our chicken tenders and even left out a whole order of chicken tenders. So now I check every time before leaving. I will say, the girls are usually really nice working behind the counter and try to be accommodating. Tried out this place and my kids liked it! They got chicken tenders and a slider with fries and some sweet potato fries. I got a salad which was super good, but $12 is a bit steep for not including protein or at least an option to add it for like $2 or something… And of course they loved the condiment cow!

I work close to here and noticed it recently. Decided to take the family here after a Saturday morning hike. Oliver's place is cute and has excellent asthetics. It is basically an instagrammer's dream on the inside and out. Unfortunately, that is the highlight. We went in primarily for the ice cream and were deeply disapointed but the texture, quality and icyness. Despite having a range of interesting and artisan flavors that I wanted to love, the only one that was good was the sherbet my daugther got. On the other extreme my wife's scoop had visible freezer burn! Yuck! Frankly, there's a lconsiderable room for improvement on understanding ice cream and proper care thereof. We tried some of the food (the philly sliders) and they were pretty good. That said, they were a bit understaffed and the service was akin to I-15 traffic on a Tuesday at 5pm - slow and almost not worth it the hassle. That said, the employee we interacted with *did* have a really great attitude, was helpful and cheerful despite the circumstances.

Such an incredible group to work with! We had a luncheon there a couple of days ago, along with a reception. We were surprised with 20+ additional guests for the luncheon, and the owner quickly helped us get additional tables and chairs set up.

Throughout the day, they were attentive to all our needs - from lighting for photography to music/video/microphone use to even the owner herself protecting the cupcakes reserved for the bride and groom from being eaten by guests that weren't attentive to the sign that said "Wedding Cake".

The areas for the groom and the bride were perfect! They even had an incredible recommendation for a caterer for our reception. Even as we were surprised with how many guests showed up for the reception - and even more so with the number that stuck around, making multiple trips to the food - the caterer was incredibly professional and knew just how to stretch food out to the very end. Miracle worker, I swear!

This is a new place for events and receptions, and it's off to a great start from our experience as the parents...

We so enjoyed Oliver's in American Fork. It was so delightful. The attached market store is great too. We just found this place that we have driven by multiple times, however, we hadn't noticed it as we were on our way to other places or appointment. This particular day it was packed with people as they were having a large company meeting which is part of their business. Events such as receptions, Company Parties for holidays, or any group meetings are held there. It has a huge facility for that. I was hungry and as we were driving back by, the event had ended, but people were still there in the cafe. So, we decided to try it out. Glad we did. It was delicious. We will be going back and taking our friends too. Delightful. Their Market store has raw milk, breads, farm fresh sausage, bacon, steaks, so many other products in the realm of seasonings, vitamins, etc. It is locally started from the Smith farm many years ago. Don't miss the opportunity to visit, eat, shops and read the history of this farm....
