Wayyyyy better than cash only Baron's. They actually have space and better selection, less expensive and take cards or phone payments. The owner is kind and generous. The workers are cheerful. Better prices than his last place he sold to some grumpy old rich guy. The Baron himself is a complete rude and impatient man, unless you're a pal of his or respects you. We stopped going since around 2 years after he took over. Before he did, he was fairly kind and friendly. Now he's insufferable and the prices are downright insane. $8 dollar sausage egg cheese on a bagel that's cartoonishly big with poorly cooked eggs and 85% of the sandwhich is bagel. No thanks. Round dough or good old delicious bagels are the go to now. I miss when Baron's was round dough. That original owner was very kind and customer focused. Baron is such a suitable name for this goofy place now. Taking advantage of the rich folks around here who don't even look at prices. Well we aren't all wealthy here, my guy. Chill out on the ever rising costs. Maybe make the bagels not two times too big for the meat eggs and cheese that go on it and you could charge fair prices. And being told there's an ATM "right there" is crazy. $3 surcharge, just adds to the prices. Step into the future. Everyone pays by card...
Read moreI placed an order online and paid in advance, but when I arrived to pick it up, no one was at the designated pickup section. I went to the cashier section and politely asked those in line if they were waiting for pickups or needed to place orders. They all suggested I go to the front of the line.
However, when I approached, a young employee rudely told me to go to the back of the line. I tried to explain to her that I had already placed and paid for my order, but she cut me off before I could finish. As I went to the back of the line, several people offered to let me go ahead, commenting that they didn’t agree with her response, but I declined their offers.
After waiting for a few minutes, I mentioned to the cashier again that I had already paid and didn’t understand why I had to wait in line. She then realized her mistake, apologized, and claimed she hadn’t heard...
Read moreSo we kicked off our Pork Roll Tour 2025 here at Round Dough With a Hole. I ordered a PEC on a cheddar jalapeño bagel with pepper. The sandwich had good weight, super fresh ingredients, bagel was light and chewy (just as I like it). The porkroll was juicy but not as thick as I prefer. Scrambled egg instead of a fried egg and american cheese. Overall, this was a good "sangweech", with a solid rating of 6.9.
This small business came recommended by many locals in the area. I can see why they like it. Altho it didnt make my top 5, I would certainly come back for another one or sample their other menu items. The business was clean, service was great & friendly and the locals kept coming thru the door as we were sitting here. Thanks for having us! - Dennis...
