Wine Outlet — Local services in Point Pleasant Beach

I used to give this place 5 stars and go all the time. This was my go to place for wine when i would go to dinner in point pleasant. The selection was great and staff very friendly. Back in March i bought into their wine outlet card which allows me to taste test up to ten different wines they have in the store. Great concept and i was very excited about it. I personally asked the kid who had me signed up for the card that if i forgot my card would i still be able to taste the wines. He told me not a problem and they can just look me up in the system. Sounded like a great deal to me and would allow me to explore different types of wines. Last Thursday (7/21) my girlfriend and myself went in to purchase wine and also taste test some wines. I recently switched my wallet and forgot my card. The lady who greeted us at the door wasn't friendly and rubbed me the wrong way. When i explained to her i didn't have my card on me but would like to taste test the wines she was extremely rude and basically came off like i for one didn't own the card and two was just trying to get some free samples. Instead of trying to work with me she was just extremely rude to me and flat out nasty. I explained to her that the kid who signed me up said they can look my info up but this lady said in a very nasty way that she can't do that. Then out of the goodness of her heart she was like "you can try one wine", but didn't say this in a nice way. At that point she can take the wine and shove it. I told her that she was flat out rude and i would never be returning to this store to purchase wine again. I never write reviews about anything and i have told numerous people to come to this liquor store when they are in point pleasant. As of last Thursday i will make sure i give this place a bad name for as long as its in business. If you want to go to a great liquor store with a better selection than this place, head down the street a half mile to spirits unlimited. Staff was very friendly...

Location is everything your location in Point Pleasant and Manasquan are key...have been a customer for a very long time the staff is overall great. Except for 1 employee in your Point location I might not be back...I hope she is not a manager or owner she is there often never smiles and is outright rude and condescending. She is usually doing the wine tasting machine and every interaction I have had with her is usually unpleasant, but this Saturday about 3:45 in the afternoon I unfortunately has the pleasure of being checked out by this women. Rude lacks people skills etc...not even capable of pretending that she appreciates your patronage...maybe a thank you or explanation to the customer that your club card is not scanning so that is why she is continuing to scan your card while asking your name and asking again ...because she is so uptight and unable to tell the difference between the letters p and t when you give her name. This is my first review I've ever written. I'm not one to write reviews, but in this certain instance, I felt I really needed to. I've been going to this store for almost two years now. I don't go too much, but if I am in the area I will. For all of the times I've went, the majority of the workers are nice, except for one person. I found out by a worker that her name is Jean. Every single time that I've been in there and she has been working, I feel uncomfortable. She gives dirty looks, and just doesn't seem friendly at all.. I've literally never experienced such a miserable person in my life. I was there a few days ago and she rung me up and was nothing but sarcastic and nasty. I really don't think I'll be going in here anymore because of her. Someone needs to teach her customer service cause as far as I'm concerned,...
