Traveled to Pompano Beach to eat at Briny Irish Pub, the brightness of the place added to the vibe, the ambiance, it was happening, live music was playing, excellent tunes. You could hear the bustle of the patrons having a good time, eating, enjoying the food, and drinks, beer. The bartenders were nonstop on the move. Was lucky to find a spot on the corner of the bar where i was approached by Jason the bartender. Excellent service, attentive, made suggestions eventho he was quite busy. I was in the mood for a margarita on the rocks, i know i know it's an Irish pub. It was delicious, matter of fact had a second one. Tried the New England clam chowder, yes here in Florida, and I've tried the soup in Maine, Boston, New Hampshire, and allow me to say it was excellent, not watery, good amount of clams in it, good size, all in a crock medium size, however, it was served with crackers. Tried a Chopped salad that had turkey, eggs, cucumbers, and then added Salmon to it. It was fresh, greens were crunchy in small pieces, and i didn't feel hungry after, it's enough for 2 people. I enjoyed the live music very much while eating. I'll say I'll comeback again to try other favorites such a good old cheeseburger with tator tots, or fish and chips or even the shepherd's pie. For now i can only share what i saw... but I'll be back with more pics. Excellent experience.

If you’re looking for an authentic Irish experience, The Briny Irish Pub is a must-visit! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by warm, friendly staff and the cozy ambiance that feels like a home away from home. The decor is charmingly traditional, with dark wood furnishings, vintage Irish memorabilia, and soft lighting that sets the perfect mood for a relaxed evening. Also the major theme is fish-man and ocean also live music adds to the atmosphere, featuring talented local musicians who play everything from traditional folk tunes to modern favorites. Now, let’s talk about the food! The menu is a delightful mix of classic Irish dishes. I highly recommend the shepherd's pie—it’s hearty and flavorful, with a perfect crust. The fish and chips are also top-notch; the batter is light and crispy, and the fish is always fresh! The drink selection is impressive, featuring a wide range of Irish whiskeys and perfectly poured pints of Guinness. The bartenders are knowledgeable and always happy to recommend a drink based on your taste. Overall, The Briny is more than just a pub; it’s a place where friends gather, laughter fills the air, and memories are made. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by. I can't wait to return!

I love coming to Briny. We had tasty NYE dinner (shepards pie) at the Briny,. Table service was great - I would have given 5 stars for table service - only 1 star for overall due to parking issue. The music inside was good. I asked for parking validation code when we arrived. The server who was great on service, took our license plate for the parking validation - told us we had 4 hours of validated parking - then about 10 days later a $125 parking ticket arrived in the mail. So a frustrating start to the New Year and not the best service after all - . I am trying to dispute it, but no luck yet. I have photos of being at the Briny at that time. Someone else paid our dinner (name on the charge doesn't match my car with the parking ticket), I called to get the Briny to help with the ticket since I followed their process - but the bartender told me to do validation on my phone next time (which is what I do for the restaurant next door) but I was not given that option when I ordered dinner - even though I asked for the code. IS THIS A BRINY SCAM? Other's have mentioned these parking validation issues, which it why I was prompt to ask the server for the code and questioned her 2x. I even let her read the plate number off a photo I took of my license.

I work in customer service so I try my best to be nice when I'm being served because I know how customers can be. I guess my best was not enough to this bar tender with a cross tattoo behind her ear. She didnt greet us and when we sat she just stood there waiting for us to order drinks. My husband asked for a beer "hey is it possible for me to try beers or do yall dont do that" bar tender replied ever so rudely "if I can see your id" unfortunately I cant type her tone. But we brushed that off. Anyways as we waited for our drinks, we werent asked for menus so I asked for some. When she went to hand them, again with an additude she said "here." You cant sound a little happier than that? I've never recieved a menu with a sassy "here" and no eye contact, before. That right there told me I was not going to enjoy my service. We ordered, my friend asked for season fries while I asked for French fries and a few other sides. When we got our meal, everything looked mediocre. But when we got our fries, they both looked the same. So my friend was saying that she asked for season fries and the bartender said "well what seasoning do you want? You got to give me more than that!" My friend got mad at her tone and simply asked for salt. The tender grabs it and places it in front of her. My friend was so upset and she was telling me that she wanted season fries, not just salt fries. My husband told her (him working at a restaurant knowing this) that season fries is salt, so we were coming to the understanding that maybe WE just ordered her fries wrong. But as we were saying that, I guess the bartender thought we were talking about her getting our order wrong and snapped on my friend saying "season fries is just salt! If you want old baby just say it and I will get you a new order!" My friend snapped back at her and said "no! I dont want old bay. I'm going to eat these fries!" My friend has this theory that maybe our tender is racist seeing as we were the only hispanic people in the bar while she was being so friendly to everyone else. When we were finishing our meal, that's when she started warming up to us so she can get a better tip. But her tone was still very back handed. I will not come back, and dont recommend this place. The food is not good at all for what you pay for and the customer service does not make up for it. Big thumbs down. And I hope that bar tender with the tattoo of a cross behind her ear, learns to be nice to everyone. I understand bad days, but if I dont give you additude, dont...

JCox's wife's experience: I have just had the worst service and have been treated the worst by anyone in customer service in a long time. My friend and I stopped in by recommendation to have lunch. We had our babies with us and had trouble finding a table that could fit the strollers and allow us access to our babies. We ended up with a larger table in the back that could seat several people. From the start the waitress made us feel uncomfortable about our choice of tables and made it clear that she may move us if a larger party came in. We thought that was rude but probably wouldn't happen. But halfway through our meal a group of five people came in and we politely offered our table but they said they were ok and smiled at our babies. The waitress proceeded to come to our table and tell us we had to move for the five who just came in. Even with the five individuals saying that were happy where they were. She took our food from in front of us and moved it to a table of about the same size that just came available across the room. A little shocked we moved and finished our food. The waitress never apologized, ignored us pretty much after that to the point that we almost could not get her to give us our check. I want to add that the bartender also joined the waitress in moving our food. Not one employee there seemed to find this wrong or bad customer service or offered any apologies for forcefully moving two women, one of which who is pregnant, two babies, and all our stuff! Why not move the 5 individuals to the other table, they had not even ordered yet?? The food was fine, but I really just don't understand what happened or why. Neither my friend and I or the group of five who came in were very happy about what ever just happened. I would not recommend this pub based on principle. I wish I did not have to give one star in google for this to...

From KCMO Basing off 3 visits in one week.

Pretty typical Beach bar scene. Has pretty good/decent depending on the night entertainment. The staff is hit or miss on the attention they pay you. The food is pretty typical bar food, most of it is okay. I would stay away from the Corned Beef unless you like tree bark in between bread.

Atmosphere: Really good atmosphere, and at least while I was there they had a resident drunk hanging around inside and out who was a pretty funny character. The Jukebox on the wall is fun. There's plenty of TV's, while none of them are huge they have enough to cover the bar scene and is decent for watching sports. The staff is hit or miss about asking questions about you/keeping up with your orders. I LOVED the decorations for Halloween.

Food Quality: Don't get the Corned Beef. Aside from that, its pretty normal for Bar Food Quality. Had Potato Skins, Their Wings(Average), and their Corn Beef Sandwich(Yuck). It all came fresh from the kitchen and hot. It was also ready pretty quickly even on Friday.

Price/Value: Price wise they are what you would expect near a beach in Florida for Pub food. In fact, probably a little under what you would expect. Their drink prices are pretty low compared to the rest of the area.

Service: You definitely get greeted quickly, and they make sure to check on you quite often. This may just be the Midwestern in me, but I feel like half of the waitresses/bartenders don't put off that they really care much about you. I like people to at least pretend they are interested when I go to a bar, I received that about half the time.

Conclusion: Because of where we stayed, and where its located - For a local pub/bar its about the only place to go. It definitely does the job, but has a lot of room for improvement. Its definitely a good place to hang out on a Friday/Sat if you're...
