McDonald's — Restaurant in Pooler

I arrived at this location last night at around 12:50 AM on Saturday (Halloween night). The drive-thru was busy as expected, but the line wasn’t wrapped around the building type busy.

After 10 minutes of waiting in a drive thru line that isn’t even moving, two employees come out of the building talking to each other, a male and a female employee, and after they got done talking, the woman goes back into the building and the man begins to take the orange cones that are usually used to direct traffic in the drive-thru, and begins putting the orange cones in front of the cars that are already in line to dissuade more people from coming in the drive-thru and to hint at them to leave! As more people pulled up, he told them that they were closed when they clearly weren’t.

Then fast forward... it got to the point where I was waiting 30 minutes and guess what? The line still hasn’t moved. The man is still outside trying to dissuade people to leave, and people were starting to leave. It was very clear to me that the employees were taking too long on purpose, they were trying to get people to leave so they can sit around and do nothing until their shift is over. At that point, I just left and took my business to cookout.

This location is suppose to be open 24 HOURS!!! What is the point of applying to work at a job with long hours if you don’t like it?

This also isn’t the first time that this has happened! Came here a couple of times to find out they were “closed for sanitation” when they weren’t and also came here plenty of times to see the famous orange cones blocking the drive thru... This location needs to change their staff ASAP because at this point, this is just ridiculous. It’s absolutely baffling how an entire night shift employee crew can get away with that. LOL. Do the managers here do not wonder why they’re not making revenue on specific nights that should be busy? The man in the photo was the one who was harassing people to leave. This location needs a MAJOR change in employees! I will not be back to...

Awful experience. Arrived and placed a curbside pick up order and waited 15min outside before going inside to retrieve my order. Order was missing the fries so I had to return to get them. When waiting trying to get the expo persons attention she was basically barking at people to use the kiosks. I explained my fries were missing and watched her eat out of a cup while obtaining my fries and she touched (bare hands, no gloves) a few which I placed on the counter. I then left only to find later the two apple pies I ordered were not apple but some berry filling with creamy stuff. I took a bite but didn't care for them. Currently sitting in the drivethru line to hopefully get the apple pies I ordered. Everything about this visit was horrendous from having to come inside for my curbside order to having to return multiple times to either get missing items or the correct items. There's a lack of service, cleanliness and attention to detail. As a person who works in the service industry I understand folks can get in the weeds but if the order is going to take 15+minutes at least have it correct. I don't mind waiting for my correct order. This incorrect order after waiting for what's supposed to be "fast food" just adds insult to injury. Once this order is received/correct. I'll be sure not to return to this location. First night, went thru drive through. They were out of ice cream and chicken nuggets. Went back the next day inside there was 1 girl standing at the counter. I thought she already ordered and was waiting on someone, after a few minutes still no employee came to the front I asked her if she had already ordered she said no. I went to the counter and there was 5 people in the back kitchen 3 ladies doing drive thru and I had to interup them to ask if anyone was working the front counter. I saw the manager and another lady ask if anyone was working up front and they both just kept doing what they were doing instead of helping up front. Very poorly managed store. There was 1 older white lady up front and none of the other employees would help her. I felt bad for her. There was 3 people behind me, then more came in after I ordered still no help. Restaurant was nasty. Trash over flowing, bathrooms nasty. Then we sat in the play area and watched the manager go out and close 1 of the drive thru lanes and get in her car and lit a cigarette up.
