Peking Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Pooler

I am a local and have noticed the bad reviews seem to be from tourists visiting the area staying in various hotels. There are some items on the menu that have disappointed me then there are other items that I love so much, I will only go here to get. Their Lo Mein, Chow Mein and Egg Foo Young always comes out perfect and I stick with those. My husband likes either General Tso's or Sesame Chicken and hasn't ever complained. We usually get the main entrees and share them here at home.

I'm not too fond of the way that their egg rolls and crab ragoons come out and have stopped ordering those or combination dinners. The seafood offerings are skimpy so I avoid those too. I usually never settle for the pork dishes, but I found that I like these the best here, even over the chicken. Just a few pointers.

I also would never order it delivered. It's better to come and get it if you can. It may be okay if you're at a hotel near the Pooler Hwy 80 exit off of I-95 but if you're at any of the airport Pooler exit hotels and can drive an exit south - it would probably be worth your time and ride. I wouldn't blame the restaurant for this, just as a local the traffic at the Airport exit just plain out stinks. I hate it...

I've ordered twice in a 2 week period and it's been horrible both times. The first time we ordered at 9:40pm and didnt get our food til after 11pm. We were told we wouldn't be charged for the dinner because she forgot to place the order and tell the driver to bring it after she placed it an hour later. Not only did she charge our card she also over charged us by 2 meals!! I had to call out bank and have them refund us the money since it was unauthorized..I never signed the receipt but somehow it had a signature. This time (7/12/2017) there was a small roach in my food. I called to tell them and she starts telling me they have had a roach problem for sometime now and the exterminator was out there yesterday to kill the roaches in the kitchen! 😲😷 Needless to say I will never order from there again!!! These ppl are a POS !! Everything ppl are saying in the ratings are true. I only went here to buy some fortune cookies for a bread pudding recipe I wanted to try. ALLL of the packages were slightly opened. I was like no, these need to be replaced. The Lil big head boy (child) who was behind the counter, was busy playing his video game and mouthing off. The adult came over and was like they are all the same. So I was like ok, no thnkx. The cookies were also a burnt, old Steal looking.... probably been sitting up there forever !! But ok, yea this one will be a easy pass for me and should be a pass...
