The restaurant was very clean and food looked fresh and delicious. However, this place completely exemplifies the issue of offering gluten free only because it is the trendy diet of the moment. If you have celiac or a gluten intolerance/sensitivity, stay far, far away! Bread and bagels are stored on a shelf above the open containers where all of the veggies are housed. In front of the open cooler where those open containers are, there is a narrow prep bench / cutting board where sandwiches and wraps are made. There is absolutely no protection for the open containers preventing crumbs from falling in while the staff are cutting bagels and bread. Because of this, even if you get a salad, there is a huge risk of cross contamination. Furthermore, once a sandwich is completed, the crumbs are just brushed down to the end of the counter into the trash. As I watched this happen, crumbs definitely were falling into the open veggie containers because there was no trough or divider wall to protect the food. Assuming food storage and prep area weren't an issue, my gluten free wrap was heated on the same press as their regular wraps were (with no attempt to clean the press first) and then was placed on the bare counter where crumbs had just been brushed from a bagel. Again, there was no attempt to wipe the prep counter first. They could have easily put foil down before my wrap in the press and put a paper down on the bench as they were building my wrap to minimize cross contamination. I had already paid before my wrap was made so I just took it and threw it out when I got back to work. There was no way I could eat it without getting vilely ill. While I appreciate that restaurants do not necessarily need to accommodate special diets and in open kitchens cross contamination can happen, proudly offering and advertising gluten free options without making any attempt what-so-ever to even slightly minimize cross contamination is criminal. The only reason they offer gluten free is to up-charge you for something you can't even eat. Needless to say, I am incredibly disappointed at the lack of any thought regarding their gluten...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt so hit or miss here. I like this place but, I order by phone, asked for extra aƧaĆ which you pay extra for. This is what extra aƧaĆ apparently is. I did mention it to the young lady working today and her response was āyes thatās extra aƧaĆ I had to pack it down inā and then something about a change in the cup size? I mentioned that in the past extra aƧaĆ meant there were no gaps. When I started eating it I assure you it was bornāpackedā in the cup. šthere is no way thatās extra. There was also barely any peanut butter which you also pay extra for.
PLEASE SEE MANAGERS RESPONSE BELOW. That picture was from yesterday! Sad that I had to leave more then one at another location because they screwed up my order btw if you read it correctly maāam. They added granola when I didnāt ask for it. They didnāt include the cacao I asked for. Etc. sad that you have to respond like this. Iām not asking for anything. Are you agreeing that my order is correct? Thatās extra aƧaĆ?! I have met you before Chastity (forgive me of the spelling is wrong) and you were very nice! I removed the other review because a resolution was made and I donāt feel like a bad review should stay if it was followed up on and fixed. Do you? I will be calling donāt worry! Corporate can monitor all they want but the facts are facts! They did not give what I asked. Youāre response was uncalled for. Sorry that your counter parts messed up as well. Thatās not the customers fault. This is NOT THE SAME REVIEW AS ANOTHER LOCATION considering the other had ADDED things I didnāt ask for. Lol false review?! With pictures...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start positively saying the staff seem friendly and helpful. Chasity has been accommodating when I've picked up orders for other people. However, today, for my first time ordering for myself, with Chasity not there, I was a little disappointed. I asked for a Curry Chicken Wrap. I asked if I can have spinach instead of lettuce because I'm allergic to lettuce, and I was told "yes, we can change that out for you." Also, the staff member repeated my order to confirm it was correct. When I received my To-go order, the order was not correct, and didn't notice until I opened it at my destination. It was a salad instead of a Wrap, which now I noticed I paid more for. Ok no big deal. Started tossing the spinach and the toppings but under all of that is the lettuce at the bottom. Why is lettuce Im allergic to at bottom at all? And more so covered by spinach that was to be the substitute? I'm not sure if it was a strategic move to fill the box up without much spinach but it's nearly 50% of the box, which I should have then only paid for half since I can't eat the rest. Picking out what I could eat after tossing it was a task too. I don't understand how it was made wrong, with the cashier confirming with me, and translating it the same way to the person making it. I feel my request for a discount next time is valid, and really hope it was just a fluke accident because overall the food was impeccably...
