I'll start out positive. I like that they fit me in their schedule with limited time I had, but it was my fault for going with a category 1 hair stylist. My hair is long and I want to keep it long. So I can't have any mess-ups with damaging my hair beyond any fixes or other permeant alterations like permeant straightening. I've already been suffering with permanent hair style changes that didn't come out well as far as being able to fix things for the future. I wish the company could have said no to me and made sure I'd go with someone more experienced. My hair does look lighter which is what I wanted, however If I would have known my hair was like this in a pony tail, I wouldn't have tipped 20% and frankly would not have done partial highlights. It is hot in Bali and I'm starting to get gray hairs. This looks like I added gray hairs and I need to put in a pony tail due it being hot in Bali. I'm now self conscious when I put in a pony tail. When it's down it's beautiful. Either have a few more strong highlights or have it more bland, but not this. It was also my mistake for having this in the states and not being able to come back if something were to go wrong. I should have just researched more and found the THE best hair stylist in Bali and I would have paid the same amount for a grade 1 hair stylist here with the option of coming back to fix if something went wrong. Bali is just cheaper in general, but the education and product availability is low. That's why I went with a blonde salon in the states. I was also disappointed that even though she was 20 mins over time, she had zero time to straighten my hair as planned. I haven't been in the states in 4.5 years so I'm not familiar with standard hair prices but it was 100 dollars more than I have ever paid in my life for highlights with long hair. I was pretty uneasy when I found out the label for the charge was full highlights and it clearly wasn't that. When I called the salon to see if money back could be an option because I clearly had partial highlights but was charged full highlights and no I don't have enough time in the states to fix it, the manager somehow convinced me that it was actually a better deal because my hair is thick and long. I would love comments on this from the general public if you think that is fair. I would also like general comments if this highlight job in a pony tail is something typical or did something go wrong. Thanks for your feedback. Read moreLet me preface this by saying I’ve had great haircut experiences at this salon in the past — which is why I chose to come here for a color session. Based on the pricing listed on the website and previous discussions during my last cut visit, I was expecting the most extensive color service to be around $228. With that in mind, I scheduled a consultation and appointment.
On the intake form, I clearly explained that I’d recently experienced significant hair loss due to vitamin and iron issues, and that I had previously used a box dye for school requirements. I was booked for a consultation, which included a test strand to see how my hair would lift. The stylist who ended up doing the consult wasn’t the original one I had scheduled with, but I went forward with it.
I explained my goals clearly — that I wanted something blended and flattering, even if my original inspiration wasn’t fully achievable, and above all, something that wouldn’t make the hair loss more noticeable. She cut a section of my hair for the test strip and said I’d get a call with the results.
Later that afternoon, I received a call confirming that the stylist could do my hair and wanted to proceed with a blonding treatment. I agreed, still thinking the pricing would be within the range I saw online. When she asked if I wanted a haircut as well, I said I usually leave it up to the stylist to cut and shape as needed for balance and dimension.
Then I was asked if anyone had gone over pricing during the consultation. I said no — and was told the appointment would start at $400, and that a haircut would be an additional ~$100 or more.
Price aside — because I work in the service industry and completely understand paying for time, talent, and expertise, and customer service— what I’m upset about is the lack of transparency. I was honest and upfront about my needs, and I expected the same in return. I never would’ve consented to a test cut or booked the session if I had known the price would be that drastically different from what was advertised.
To perform part of a service without disclosing cost until after the fact is just bad business. It left a really sour taste in my mouth, and unfortunately, I won’t be...
Read moreI’m editing my review from years ago bc I’m heart broken. I’m high risk pregnant and had an accident a few days prior to my appointment. I’m still healing from the injuries. I missed my appointment as a result of the accident. I have to have transfusions as outpatient now and am on bed rest. I’m slowly getting my energy back. After 8 1/2 years of being a loyal client, never spending less than $800 per service, buying their pricey products and styling tools bc i loved going there every 3-4 months, they told me that I have to pay for my entire service that I missed in order to reschedule with my stylist (which is over $400) and then I may come in and pay for the hair service again once it is complete. I was willing to pay for the time my stylist missed but not over $1200!! Cheyenne says she confirmed with Stephanie, which I couldn’t believe!! After 8 years of being loyal and referring clients over and over, I have to find elsewhere for my hair and extensions. I’m devastated and disgusted. I dull haven’t found a place bc I’m too weak to look around still. They used to be for the client. I guess they don’t care anymore. I’m sharing this with everyone and I will be posting my text conversation with my stylist about how her and Stephanie both told me I can’t come regardless of why I miss my appointment until I pay for my services twice. She didn’t even reply. I had to call several times before she came to the phone and then handed me off to someone else to break The news that I had to pay $410 and then for my actual hair service when I come in, which is always $700+!!
By far the best SALON in Florida. I haven’t had such luck since my NY hair stylist. I’ve been coming for almost 3 years. The staff is consistent and doesn’t change. Between Carlos and the owner, Stephanie, they are amazing. I’ve changed my style, color and cut several times and they’ve always done a great job. Stephanie never cuts it too short. She makes my hair look full and amazing and gives me tips on styling which save me tons of...
