Didn't take any pictures before we ate the food so I'll try my best to describe it lol. My boyfriend and I have been coming out here for the past few years and I have been coming throughout my whole life. This was the first time we decided to try this Chinese restaurant and im sad we hadn't come sooner! We ordered for take out. I order the house special fried rice and small Wonton soup: the fried rice maybe could have been "fried" a little more/longer, but it tasted fresh and had so much flavor! (Highly recomend). The Wonton soup broth was bland and the wonton filling had a lot of pepper in it(almost to much). I will definitely order the house special fried rice again but I'll prolly try their egg drop soup instead next time. My boyfriend ordered the combination A with sweat and sour chicken, pork fired rice, Wonton soup(but didn't eat it after I ate mine) and it comes with 1 egg roll and 2 gyoza: the sweat and sour sauce comes on the side and he said the chicken was just ok but it was crispy and the type of sns sauce is the kind he likes (neon pick/orange kind) and they gave a nice amount of it. The pork fried rice tasted really weird though. Can't exaxtly explain the flavor but it seemed very off. We asked for extra sns sauce(not know how much came with) and she she gave it to us with no extra charge, along with some packets of soysauce and utensils for 2. Overall, we were satisfied and can't wait to go again the next time we head to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stumbled upon this restaurant & decided to give it a try on our weekend in Port Townsend. Iām so glad we did because the food was delicious! And the lady who is owner was so friendly & accommodating with my dietary preferences. They will ā customā make your meal if need be. Iām sensitive to soy sauce & sodium. The chef made a delicious low sodium, no soy, spicy chicken with vegetables, noodle chow mein & my husband ordered the squid in black bean sauce. Heād never eaten squid before & thought it was 1 of the best Chinese meals heās ever had. The squid was delectable! They just opened in early 2022 & I hope they become very successful. It takes a lot of courage & big efforts to open a restaurant post pandemic ! Theyāre friendly, welcoming & the meal we had was a wonderful surprise to a busy day. The inside is spacious, clean , with a nice, wide open feel to it. The menu is aesthetically pleasing with photos & a variety of foods well laid out & delineated in grouping....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe just happened to stumble upon this cozy little restaurant on a vacation weekend to Port Townsend about 2 years ago and now we take pilgrimages from around Olympia every few months just to order food here. Thatās right, no other purpose, just drive 2 hours to get this food. We bring a cooler so we can take it all the way home and freeze portions to eat when weāre just craving amazing Chinese food. The chicken dishes are sooooo crispy and seasoned to perfection. The flavor of their rice is just as perfect as well.
The service is awesome. Very kind and personable people. The portion sizes are more than large enough for anyone. The atmosphere is quiet, cozy and warm.
At a risk of sounding cheeky, I challenge you to do yourself and your palate a flavor and take your own journey to Port Townsend to experience this hidden gem of the PNW.
*The picture I put on here was after the food had traveled a long distance in a cooler as Iām standing over it and trying to...
