Visited 1/9/2025. Score if I could: 4.5+
Pros: Amazing tacos! Extraordinary. I had both the Chicago Beef and the Pork Birria. Both came with au jus. Crispy tortilla that's been filled with tasty inside bits and then fried/seared on the outsides to give it a great crunchy texture. Great flavors, very well developed. Absolutely professional cookery there. Nice selection of drinks. Friendly service. Looks and smells clean.
Cons: Two things stick out as obvious.
1.) Price: The tacos are very expensive. $7.50 per taco. Two tacos was fine but I could have done a third for sure. Add in a drink and a tip, and your two-taco lunch is now around $24. Are they tasty? Very much so! Are they filling? Sorta. Worth it? Maybe... yeah... probably... but the tab does sting a bit when you factor in the entire experience.
2.) What sort of place is this?: It's not fast food, even though the facility looks and sounds like fast food when you walk in. It's in a twilight zone between a sit-down restaurant (if you go by food quality, price, and wait time) and a fast-food place (looks, atmosphere, tables, loud music, hipster vibe, it's counter service, bus your own tables, etc...).
If I could give it a 4.5, or an A, I would. Overall, it's probably not A+ or 5 star, but really, really close. Will I return? For sure! Those really are extraordinary tacos. But it will be only very occasionally and when I'm feeling flush enough to drop that money and time.
Suggestions for the owners: 1) Turn down the music just a tad for those who would like to chat at their tables and who are over 30. 2.) Don't be raising your prices anytime soon. 3.) I saw that you offered 'plate' specials, but what about a three-taco deal for a reasonable price? Say, three tacos of the customers choice for $17 - $18? That would be pretty much 3 tacos for the price of 2.5 and would make me want to return much more often. :-D
UPDATE: Second visit. Brought my spouse. Very positive review from her too and she’s an amazing chef.
Tried the chips and green salsa. Excellent!!
Also had all four of the tacos....
Read moreWe couldn’t be happier with the incredible food and service Green Crow Taco provided for our wedding this August! From start to finish, Kyle and his amazing team went above and beyond to create a truly personalized experience that made our day unforgettable.
The menu was nothing short of spectacular. Guests couldn’t stop raving about the Summer Squash with Cheese, Succotash, and Morita BBQ taco, the Pork Birria with Pickles, Cheese, and Puya-Chile Mustard Sauce taco, and the refreshing Watermelon Mezcalita. Seriously--they keep talking about it, months later! The words, "Best wedding food ever" have been heard multiple times.
Kyle and his team’s dedication to making the day special didn’t stop at the main meal. They enthusiastically jumped on board with our idea for a late-night snack, crafting Hatch Chile smashburgers (my husband’s favorite!) that were an absolute hit. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the night even more memorable for us.
Not only was the food incredible, but the service was just as exceptional. The entire team was professional, kind, and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly while making every guest feel valued and cared for.
Green Crow Taco was a highlight of our wedding, and we cannot recommend them highly enough for any event. Their creativity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence are unmatched. Thank you, Kyle and the Green Crow Taco team, for being such an integral part of our celebration! 🌮🎉

Read moreI wish I had another stomach. Everything I tried was amazing, and I truly wanted to try everything else. I ordered the birria tacos and was impressed by the complexity of flavors and texture they achieved. Honestly, birria didn't need a lot of help, but they elevated it with the right balance of acid and garnish. I wish I had let it cool another 4 minutes because it melted my face off
The pork was another standout. The best itself was cooked perfectly tender and savory, but the pineapple salsa complimented it so well. Almost seemed a little smokey (maybe they roast the onions??). The beef and chicken tacos were also good, but the beef was the better of the two. It was VERY smokey and warm. The chicken was just more subtle than the other tacos (the cashew salsa smoothes out the flavors).
I ordered the patatas bravas but couldn't finish them after eating 3 tacos. They were delicious, though. Maybe could have achieved a bit more of a crust, but the sauces...
