The Nest — Restaurant in Port Townsend

Adding this to my favorite coffee shops near the Olympic Peninsula. It was the perfect spot for any nomads or work from home employees. We were camping in the area and needed a day to do some work and take calls. This place had great wifi for free, two office spaces that are available for public use. I was able to take some calls and get privacy. Something you’d expect from a coworking space or WeWork but it’s in a coffee shop! On top of that it has great coffee, pastries and great service. Friday hours online and at their location show open until 730pm. I approached their outside walk up window at 640pm ready to order a cup of coffee. The lady told me she had just cleaned the coffee machine and was unwilling to serve me an espresso type coffee. I find this highly unacceptable as there was nearly an hour left before they closed. I would understand if I had come up 10-15mins before closing time but this was too early in my opinion. To be clear the lady was not rude but due to her resistance to serve a customer this business will never get a dime from me and my vast network of family and friends will also be encouraged NOT to do business here despite of the great message and community...

Welcoming scene for all ages with great events for youth (ages 12-17) and young adults (ages 18-30). I appreciate all the resources being provided and people to talk to for help on lots of things: college, jobs, substance use, mental health, consent and relationships, and more.
