I was highly dissatisfied with my latest visit. We went to this location many times in the past, and their service has been great (hence why I/we always return even when another location may be closer), but this just gave me the "I don't want to go back" feeling. TBH, the service has slowly declined since mid 2020 with newer staff, but I have still considered it good, since with newer staff, different personalities , and the Covid pandemic, it could just be the new norm. "We're all in this together", but we are still different and react differently, which is perfectly fine. So, it's typical for them to ask if you want to add a tip due to Covid-19, but after we paid our totals separately (mine debit card (phone was dead)), my passenger noticed that she was told her total was $11.00, but then from having $14. on the app, it left her with only .22. Something just didn't set right with me, so for the 1st time in 6+ years, I asked for the receipt. The cashier (she) was using a guy's login info, so I don't know who she actually was, had added a 15% tip BEFORE having the nerve to ask if I wanted to add a tip?!!! Now her $1.00 tip was nearly $4.00. I double checked with my passenger, and she doesn't have automatically tipping set on her app (same here, had I used the app, but my phone was dead, so I didn't). And to top it off, I didn't' get my muffing top, adding another $2.25 to her tip, because she can resell it without adding it to the next person's receipt. We're now wondering how often she does this, and how much she and/or the crew is racking up on customers that do not check their bank accounts or apps as often as we do. I wish I had known that my passenger does NOT have auto-tipping set BEFORE calling HQ, because afterwards I realized that the tip was a 15% add in - AGAIN, this was added BEFORE she asked if I wanted to tip (greedy much?). It makes sense now why she didn't ask my passenger if she wanted to add a tip (she wouldn't have had any left over to pay). HQ was very courteous and gave me a credit for the missing muffin and hassle, but still, I don't think I will return to this...
Read morePretty sure I've given a review for Dutch more than once but it's been awhile & I've been prompted to do so. This location downtown / Alphabet district has always been my favorite. Of course all Dutch Bros has awesome staff, in my opinion their coffee is tied for number one with Pete's but what's best about Dutch in addition to their always super friendly staff is that they have like 5 sugar free syrups. No other coffee place that I know of does and they'll make up drinks for you some times! If you're restricted, like I am, and have to have sugar free but none of their menu drinks sound good, or you're becoming bored with the limitation, just ask them to make up a drink for you & they will! The best coffees I've had are from when they do that. Their hot drinks don't stay hot / warm for very long though, not sure if it's the cup or lid or both so ask for a double cup or better yet bring your own! I love you...
Read moreExtremely busy w/ long wait; Order & pay while waiting in line wasn't available (probably the cause of the long wait); My drink was very disappointing today (never b4, 5* every other visit): The man at the counter was polite, kind, happy & is the reason I gave this visit more than 1*. I LOVE Dutch Bros, but my experience & order today was a let down. This is the only visit I've experienced anything less than excellent & I suspect that something similar is fairly unlikely in the future. That said, this one bummer doesn't cause me to love Dutch...
