This place has the aesthetic of somewhere you would be served the best coffee youâve ever tasted by the most indifferent people youâve ever met â but youâd be mistaken. My espresso (Kaleido Bloom) was phenomenal, donât get me wrong. But from the moment I walked into the store, the staff were attentive, kind and enthusiastic, and made me feel comfortable in the admittedly sleek and corporate-feeling lobby of a condominium complex that the shop shares space with. As a visibly trans individual with discerning taste in coffee, this is a pretty hard goldilocks zone to find. For a shop with zero history, no apparent links to the Portland coffee scene and bold dedication to honorable extraction and craft, theyâve managed to curate the perfect balance of third-wave signifiers & accoutrements with popular Thai coffee stand staples. With the upswing of Nob Hill and Slabtown hopefully here to stay, I wish this little establishment the best of luck in the harsh economic winter to come. I think they have...

Kaleido Coffee is a vibrant, colorful spot that instantly lifts your mood. The decor is absolutely stunning â bright orange walls, rainbow flags, and those gorgeous, modern black ceiling beams make it a feast for the eyes. Itâs such an inviting space, perfect for working or catching up with friends. đâ¨
The coffee here is exceptional. I was blown away by how rich and smooth the espresso tasted, and the other drinks looked equally delicious. If youâre into quality coffee, this is a must-visit spot!
But what really makes this place special is the amazing owner, PJ. Theyâre so friendly and welcoming â you can really feel the care and warmth they put into running this place. Even when things get busy, PJ makes every customer feel seen and appreciated.
Whether youâre here for a solo coffee break or a fun chat with friends, Kaleido Coffee is the perfect spot. Iâll definitely be...
Read moreDo not. I repeat DO NOT get the âThai coffeeâ or Es-Yen! If you go here, choose something else thatâs probably overpriced tooâŚ. $7 and it is exactly like a latte they sell thatâs $4. Idk maybe they gave me the âDirtyâ coffee instead? Thatâs also $4.25, what am I paying $7 forâŚAll milk, all iceâŚnot even given barely any âsweet milkâ. Omg I feel duped lol. Skip! Go buy a Vietnamese or Thai coffee from one of the local restaurants instead for a real, more traditional tasting coffee with actual condensed milk. Nothing different about it. Itâs a cup of ice milk with a shot of espresso. I had to go home and make my own coffee to add to it. I also would recommend tiramisu coffee from Less n More coffee, a very unique drink that I would pay...
