AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

There were tiny black flies in both my friend's and my soup. I have no idea how many we ate because they were quite small flies that looked like black seasoning bits. When my friend finished, she looked and pulled out the black bit and discovered it was a fly. Then she immediately looked in my bowl and we saw another floating in mine!!! We confronted the waiter, who barely said a word. He just took the spoon with the flies on it and walked away. He then came back with another spoon and set it on the table without saying anything and turned to walk away. I told him there was no way we were eating more because of the flies. He denied it all, even though we just showed him, saying there is no flies in our kitchen. We have never seen a single one. I told him we were not paying for this food, and he said something inaudible back. My friend then told him that this is not ok and that you cannot be serving food with flies in it. He said annoyed that we are not paying for it. To which, my friend responded and emphasized that is not the point, that this is unacceptable to be giving out this food to everyone with bugs in it. He tried to make it seem like we were making this up, despite showing him the spoon with the flies in it. We were blamed for this. He then walked away on us still talking to him. He never came back to our table. We never received a single apology. He nor the owner cared. They were still serving the soups to customers as we left.

When we walked out the restaurant, the owner and waiter gave us the nastiest look. They continued to look at us like this until we were past the restaurant windows. The owner waited until we were past the restaurant to coming running out of it to the sidewalk to start screaming and waving his hands crazily around. "Never come back to our restaurant again!!! We continued walking and did not hear the rest.

My friend, being the person she is, was still going to pay if they actually acknowledged and apologized when we first showed the waiter the flies in our food. Later on, my friend became sick and vomited the whole thing up.

I do not know how this restaurant is even allowed to be open, serving food with bugs in it. I have never in my whole life have found bugs in my food, nor have I ever been treated with such disrespect at a...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this incredible pho restaurant and indulging in their delectable chicken pho. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and cozy, setting the perfect stage for an enjoyable meal.

The chicken pho itself was nothing short of amazing. The broth was rich, fragrant, and bursting with exquisite flavors. It was evident that it had been simmered to perfection, allowing all the traditional Vietnamese herbs and spices to infuse beautifully. The tender, succulent pieces of chicken added a delightful protein element to the dish.

One aspect that stood out to me was the freshness of the ingredients. The aromatic basil leaves, crisp bean sprouts, limes, and jalapeños served alongside the pho were exceptionally fresh. They added a refreshing contrast to the warm broth, elevating each spoonful of soup to another level of delight.

The portion size was generous, ensuring that I left both satisfied and content. The bowl was filled to the brim with noodles, chicken, and delectable broth – definitely value for money. The speed and efficiency of service was top-notch as well, with waitstaff being attentive and welcoming throughout.

Additionally, I was impressed by the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant. The tables were impeccably clean, and the restroom facilities were spotless, a testament to the staff's commitment to maintaining a high standard.

Whether you're a seasoned pho-lover or trying it for the first time, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. The chicken pho here will transport your taste buds to a new realm of flavorful bliss. I already find myself daydreaming about my next visit and the opportunity to explore more delightful dishes from their menu.

If you're searching for an authentic Vietnamese culinary experience with exceptional service, ambiance, and of course, a mouth-watering bowl of chicken pho, then look no further - this restaurant is an...

The food was actually fire, all said and done, but I was treated so rudely by the staff, I never want to repeat that experience.

I placed my order online and when I came in and gave my name, the gentleman at rhe counter asked me what my order was, as in what items it consisted of. I told him I couldn't remember exactly, but I would see if it was still on my phone. He said "What is your order??" Again, as I continued to pull my phone out and explain, again, I'm not sure, but I will try to look. He rolled his eyes, I searched my phone. I couldn't find a receipt of the items, so I told him that, and offered my name again, and the site I ordered off of, just trying to think of anything to help. He said again "No, I need your ORDER!" Getting really aggressive.

I finally said, I don't know it, and I don't need to be spoken to this way, I would like my money back, I can pull up that amount on my bank app, and I would like to leave. He argued with me, and the third time I straightforwardly told him, I would like my money back and I would like to leave, he finally walked over to the kitchen window, where it turns out, my order- WITH MY NAME ON IT- was sitting the whole time, had he just looked

He handed it to me, I left, and like I said, the food ended up being delicious. But that was completely uncalled for and...

I walked along Sandy Blvd in search of some comforting broth cuisine. I hoped a slow-cooked broth – beef or chicken would be fine, as long as it was rich with delicate seasonings, it would help me recover after my long journey. I found a small restaurant, Pho Gia, at the corner of Sandy Blvd and NE 20th Ave. Stepping inside, I noticed the wide and open space with large windows facing the boulevard. The waitress promptly brought me a glass of ice water and a very detailed menu, which I appreciated. I ordered a special bowl of Pho beef soup. As expected, it was served with a plate of fresh, green vegetables. The soup was well-seasoned, with a subtle beef flavor. Plenty of beef brisket, flank, tendon, tripe, and meatballs were cooked so carefully that I could not feel any strong beef odors. The beef meatballs were soft, although a slightly more tender texture would have been even better. Paired with a fresh lemonade, it was an amazing Pho experience in Portland and definitely helped me recover.

I haven’t eaten here for many many years! However if I remember correctly this is the only place I’ve ever had Pho! The reasons I enjoy this place is because when I used to come years ago the owners would smile and greet me every time I came in! Today I got chicken Pho, I can smell the broth it smells amazing, the basil came attached to the stem still, meaning it’s super fresh! The chicken looks like it was just added, it’s tender and delicious. A friend brought me here years ago… it’s in a perfect spot the bus stop is close and there’s so many windows!! It perfect! Thankfully this place is still around! Yes there is music here…

Had an incredible experience at Pho Gia in Portland! Exceptional service and mouthwatering food. The crispy veggie rolls were a delight—light, crispy exterior with perfectly seasoned filling. Paired them with sweet and sour sauce and fresh veggies for a delightful combo. As for the pho, both the steak and flank, and steak with tripe were outstanding. The broth was delicious, meat tender, and vermicelli noodles just right. Prompt service made the evening even more enjoyable. Can't wait to return and support this local gem! #PhoGia #PortlandEats #SupportLocal
