This is an amazing cafe to work out of! There's ample seating and so much space. The design of this cafe is beautiful and the baristas are all very friendly. The quality of milk steaming is great and preparation of coffee. I've had some amazing coffees from here!

**I just have to note that if you are a matcha person or even just someone who likes a matcha as a second bevvie or afternoon pick-me-up, this cafe- as well as so many other specialty cafes nowadays- pre-batches their matcha and does not make it to order. I understand this switch has been largely due to convenience, but it makes me sad to pay $6 for matcha that has been sitting in water extracting in a clear glass bottle exposed to air and sunlight all day (which matcha is particularly sensitive to), and not to mention, the majority of those matcha particles also settle in the bottle and do not dispense properly or equally into each persons drink unless shaken vigorously each time- impacting drink consistency. Would you serve an overly extracted coffee? What about a watered down coffee? A coffee that sat on the counter for hours?

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting this café while attending WordCamp US 2024 in Portland, and it was one of the highlights of my trip! The Black Sesame Caramel Latte was hands down the best coffee I've ever had—perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness from the salted Japanese black sesame caramel. Every sip was a delight.

The pastrami and pickled egg sandwich was another standout. The combination of flavors was unique and incredibly satisfying. It's clear that a lot of thought and care goes into crafting their menu.

The service was fantastic—friendly and attentive. The staff provided outstanding recommendations, not only for their menu but also for local spots. I truly appreciated their suggestion to try Nongs Thai food, which turned out to be another culinary gem in Portland.

This was some of the very best coffee I've had in the country. Reasonably priced, coffee perfection.

I had one of their seasonal coffee drinks here. My coffee was incredibly well-balanced between sweet and flavorful. However they source, roast, and brew their beans, it results in an utmost quality-tasting coffee. Baristas seem highly skilled here. I found their seasonal drinks to also be quite unique and creative while still tasting splendid.

On top of that, this shop offers a wonderful and most certainly above-average pastry selection. I had the most peculiar sort of pistachio croissant pastry that blew away my expectations in the best way possible.
