Editing to respond to the merchant: You have sadly misrepresented what happened: I absolutely was not "set" on the cheddar; it was the gruyere I was interested in, and you recommended the cheddar, without mentioning its "very strong flavor profile". Please also note that "If you had reached out sooner, we might have been able to work something out, but at this point, too much time has passed" is rather vague. What is sooner? The next day? It has in fact only been two weeks. Furthermore, you did not state "we don’t offer samples in the shop" in our email exchange. Unfortunately, your condescending tone is exactly one of the negative stereotypes people have about vegans. It is also rather dismaying that you offer little accuracy and merely excuses. Why would I come back in and pay a lot of money for one of "your other SKUs"??

Very disappointed. Spent ~$15 on a small piece of aged white cheddar that is disgusting. I contacted the shop to see if they have a guarantee or I can return it, but all sales are final. I suggest asking for a sample to taste...

Seems like a nice idea and lots of potential. Yes the name makes no sense & the shop itself is confusing but again could be lovely. It’s cheese & wine, even low alcohol options great start.

Here’s why the low rating; I take issue with being over charged, poor customer service, & low quality product.

When I politely pointed out I was over charged the person behind the counter, was dumbfounded. And made no attempt to make it right. Ok I can almost get past that. But this is what I got.

Yes it looks terrible but don’t trust a book by its cover I think. I should have. It tasted like bad Mac n cheese with not great kimchi.

Really phenomenal vegan cheese shop owned by folks who care about animals, the planet and their fellow human beings. Their commitment to compassion only enhances the quality and care they put into their products. Don't listen to the trolls who leave 1-star reviews for a place they've never even eaten at. If you have an open mind and an adventurous pallet that is more evolved than your average toddler check out Vtopian and their sister projects Realm Refillery and UnWind.
