Someone in an earlier review stated that this place didn't have as much material as they wanted. I learned that this is for a reason; when I mentioned a gate-keepy book, he told me that is why he hand picks what is sold. The selection is carefully curated. As a brand new witch I still haven't found a solid, pre-named path. He told me to look around at everything and see what called to me. I found about 10 books that called me, but we are just going to start with 3 for now! I will certainly be back! This is a charming shop in a beautiful part of Portland. I drove three hours specifically to visit, based on Jason Louv's recommendation. The selection was fantastic, and I walked away with a copy of Ani.Mystic.

However, I would have likely bought more (a lot more) had I felt more welcomed in the space.

This isn’t a criticism so much as a suggestion: people are more likely to spend when they feel a personal connection with the shop and its owner. So glad I found another occult/esoteric bookseller online. My order was shipped very promptly and the books came perfect. The only thing I wish they would change are the price stickers that come on the book. I understand that these books are up for sale at a physical location as well as online, hence the need for a price sticker. But it made me nervous peeling off lol. It won't stop me from ordering again though. It's a shame I live in a different state because I would be at the store...
