Wow, what a little gem of a place. I originally was planning on a new shop every day (because it's Portland so I could) but that first cup sold me, and I went back every morning, and sometimes afternoons.
I was recently in town at the end of September and got to know the most wonderful barista who really set the tone of the space. Personable and friendly, gave great food recommendations and a real treat for a tourist like myself.
The vibe and energy of this place is incredible, just a calm oasis in the sea of the of the hustle and bustle of the city.
The espresso I had was amazing . This is not your second wave shop, where often coffee can be a complement to the beverage but rather shop who showcases their roasts, and it is a wonderful espresso to elevate the way they have.
Don't let their size, or perceived "busyness" deter you. The barista(s) are more than competent and truly understand the Italian style of espresso, little cups meant to be enjoyed with haste.
You will be surprised how quickly that cup is in your hand.

It is a very small, curated minimalist cafe with some pastry and standard coffee/espresso options, and well worth a visit even if you're not nearby.
