I walked a long way at the airport to get a $6.25 latte + tip, and it was the first ever really disappointing latte I have had from Stumptown. Picked it up and it was way too light, i.e., short pour. I immediately asked server to add more hot milk, but she said it was full. It was 1/2 inch down from the rim before getting to the foam which was another half inch. That is also the first time ever I have had someone balk at that complaint. A great coffee place won’t just add milk — they will insist on remaking it. I was the only customer at the time. She had nothing better to do. Also, there was no foam art on it. Usually a Stumptown coffee is an event! — That’s why I made the effort and spent the money. Near gate E8. Tall, pretty woman with a nose ring. But lazy. She should work at Starbucks. They make their...
Read moreHad a surprisingly lovely interaction with this coffee stand today at PDX. My husband ordered me a decaf Americano and then brought it over to me where I was sitting watching the bags a good 100+ ft away. He then went and walked around for a bit. A few minutes later the young male barista walked up to me and asked if I had ordered the decaf Americano. After I confirmed, he told me that it was accidentally made with caffeine and that he was going to make me a new one and deliver it to me in my seat! In my case, I just wanted to be able to get to bed on time, but there are so many medical reasons why this could be important as well and he really showed integrity and customer service in taking the extra time to fix the error and I definitely appreciate it. Plus it...
Read moreHorrible service! I wanted to finally try their coffee and this kiosk was right next to my departure door. First of all, I believe it was the manager (blonde hair) was flirting around with a bald guy that it took forever to place my order. By the way, there was only a customer (bald guy) ahead of me. Then here comes this guy and I was expecting a “hi, May I help you?”. Nothing came out of his mouth. I finally said I needed a 16oz americano. I got my americano, never got offered cream or sugar. I had two sips of it…This is the worst espresso I’ve ever had in years. $4 bucks went down the drain and I decided to go to Starbucks. I got a delicious breakfast sandwich and a hot americano, plus stars! Please do yourself a favor and...
