We came in after lunch rush on a Sunday. Our wait was about 20 min for a table. Not awful but a little surprising because it didn't appear to be overly busy. After we were seated (underneath the table wasn't bused well)we ordered. Then we waited and waited and waited. At one point we could hear our waitress yelling at the cook staff about how long we had been waiting for our food.
It was well over 45 mins waiting for our food but my guess would be closer to an hour. Our server came back once to tell us our food would be out soon and then we didnt see her for another 20+ minutes. The problem we had was that most of the restaurant was empty. Hardly anyone was in there. It wasn't busy, but we were waiting like it was a Saturday morning.
Our server came back to refill our coffees once, after we were well tucked into our food. My water was empty, our coffees were empty. She was very friendly but she totally spaced our drinks because of our food-- her words, not mine. I appreciate her trying to get our food but having warm coffee would have went a long way to being more patient.
We are a family of 6 which I get is large now a days. We were charged a gratuity of 18% which wasn't mentioned at all before we ordered. I was shocked at the price and ready to go because our 3yo was spent. In my haste to leave we ended up double tipping (my fault) because we had no clue about the gratuity. I just thought the prices had hiked up that high. I get we are a large family, but we sat at a normal booth, and we hardly saw our waitress. I have been in large groups (8+)where gratuity is added, no big deal. Seeing as we are a single family we felt that should have been mentioned.
The food was good, when we got it but overall this is our 2nd less than thrilling experience here. Long waits, inattentive staff and unexpected "service...
Read moreI was really disappointed in our visit to this IHOP. The food was not prepared as to our orders. There were 4 people in our group but the waitress brought 5 plates with our appetizer as well as 5 drinks. Two of us ordered an omelette neither of which was prepared as we requested. One was eggs that were rolled up but had only cheese on the inside. There were sausage and a few crumbles of bacon and cheese scattered on top of the egg. I was charged extra for substituting mushrooms for the green peppers but there was only two slices of mushroom on the plate beside the egg. The ham that was listed as an ingredient of the omelette consisted of three small pieces of diced ham that was also on the plate beside the egg. The other omelette was better in that there were a few mushrooms in one end of the egg. We were told that half of the ingredients should be inside the omelette and half scattered on top. Neither omelette had any inside ingredients other than a little cheese and on one a few mushroom slices in one end. My youngest granddaughter ordered a breakfast burrito. While it was very well filled to the point that she couldn't easily take a bite. The problem was that she said it tasted like there was mold on the meat and the wrap was very soggy. She took only one bite and refused a to go box when it was offered because she had no intention of eating the burrito later. While the manager did adjust the cost of one omelette and the burrito, I feel you should be made aware that the food may not be what you expect. If you dine at this IHOP I hope your experience is better than...
Read moreWORST IHOP EXPERIENCE EVER! Arrived 5 min before my online order was supposed to be ready. The manager said, "they must have lost the ticket." She told me to give it a few minutes and my order would be ready. I watched at least 8 different online orders go out the door. 40 minutes later my food came out. I asked to speak to the manager again to get a discount for me having to wait since they lost my ticket. She said, "I never said they lost your ticket." At this point I'm thoroughly irritated and say, "so i just made that up?! I made it up that you told me they lost the ticket?" She turned to the man at the front desk with her and asks him, "Did I say that? I didn't say that, did I?" His reply was to look say, "Uuuuuhhhhh"... The manager then says, "Our tickets print to the back sir. I will give you a $5 discount, but no ticket was lost. I never said that. It takes 35-40 minutes to fill online orders when we're busy like this" My final reply was, "Ok. So apparently you're saying i made it up that you said my ticket was lost, but it obviously was. I've been here waiting for my food for 35-40 minutes. If you didn't lose my ticket, how do you explain that? You said it takes 35-40 minutes to fill an online order on a busy day, but I placed my online oder 1 hour ago. How else would you explain that?" All she could say was, "Yes sir. I see you ordered 1hr ago." Smh. I have literally gone there for years. I will never...
