What a nightmare. Weāre at a month and a half now since weāve started the process to have blinds installed at our new home. We went in, chose the blinds we wanted, and told them we want an interior shutter for the back door. The contractor came and measured a few days later and we went back to place the order for all blinds and the shutter. Well they couldnāt order the shutter because the correct measurements werenāt taken on the door so they told us weād have to pay for another consult with a separate contractor to order a shutter. When I told them that wasnāt happening, they made it right and paid for the extra consultation so we were good there. So we went ahead and got the blinds ordered without the shutter for now to speed things along and get some privacy in our home. They called and told us the blinds were ready and scheduled the install, which my wife took off work for. The contractor showed up and told my wife she needed to look at the blinds before he installed them because he knew they were not correct. We ordered and paid for 2.5ā blinds and instead, they sent him with 2ā blinds and told him we were aware that they were not what we ordered and that we were okay with it (not at all true). So my wife calls and asks for a manager. She gets passed around on the phone and then gets a supposed manager. While sheās talking with him and explaining the situation, she can hear a female in the background saying sheās a liar and that we agreed to the 2ā blinds. Complete disrespect to my wife. Well after a lot of back and forth, I went to the store, and completely started the order over. They refunded my money and created an entirely new transaction at which time I paid again for what we had already paid for once. They custom ordered 2.5ā blinds and assured me they will be right and I would receive a call to reschedule the install when they arrived. Fast forward about a week and they call me to tell me the blinds have arrived and I can come pick them up when Iām ready. When I asked about the install (that Iāve already paid for) the lady had no clue what I was talking about. She said she would get the situation to the right person and they would call me right away. Well here I am 4 days later and still havenāt received a call to schedule the install. They have had my $1,000 and I have had no blinds in my house for a month now. Speaking to a manager apparently does no good what so ever. Once we have our blinds, I will not go through this store again for anything more than what I can pull off the shelf myself. Absolutely pitiful...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday, I closed out a Home Depot Credit Card, and vowed to NEVER shop at Home Depot ever again!! As I get upset, all over again, I ask myself, why even bother sending this message.
The thing is, I am a an active duty Command Master Chief in the United States Navy, with 26 years of service. Evreywhere you look, Home Depot "allegedly" cares for the country's veterans. Well my experience has been to ABSOLUTE opposite!!
I obtained a Home Depot line of credit, and purchased a refrigerator from 2710 Legends Pkwy, Prattville, Alabama 36066 on July 6, 2021. The delivery date was August 10, 2021, in which I took time off from work to be available for delivery. NO PHONE notification, informing of a delay or anything. That day comes and goes. I had to make SEVERAL calls, to finally be informed that my order was "overlooked", and was rescheduled for August 12, 2021. Again, I took off of my occupation, that pays my bills, and still no deliver. As I did initially, I had to reach out once more, as NO ONE contacted me!
After literally, hours of ME calling Home Depot, August 21, 2021 was the final straw. Though this was a Saturday, and I did not have to take off from work, there was NO DELIVERY nor phone call!!
On top of me calling the store, speaking with a rude supervisor, being transferred to departments without hearing my issue, and placing multiple calls to customer service, I decided to cut ties completely with the entire organization.
Now, through all of this, I was being billed (and constantly called) by the credit card company for payment, including late fees. If ANYONE from customer service, anywhere throughout this ordeal would have made contact with me, and informed me, PRIOR to the 3 delivery dates that came and went, I would have greatly appreciated it.
There were 2 young ladies that followed up with me. Unfortunately, their follow ups were giving explanations, and gave no specifics on the refrigerator. The credit card company did adjust a late fee or two, but I still ended up "paying" a couple of dollars for an item that I never received.
Again, I have no idea why I went through with this, but it was therapeutic to get this off of my chest. I began with my service to the country, which would not hold any bearing, had Home Depot not advertise how it appreciates veterans.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came by the store on 6/22/25 and as I enter the store Josh H. Greeted me after he had directed the couple entering just before me, and asked me if he could be of any help to point me in whatever direction I needed for what I was looking for.
I didnāt expect help, but stopped for a second and shared I donāt quite know what Iām looking for but I wanted to see landscaping rocks as options to replace the mulch in our front flowerbeds.
Not only did he personally walk me to where I needed to go, but he showed me options, asked about the size I was working with, and he calculated how many bags I would need by guesstimating with my rough estimate of what I thought my flower bed size was (I didnāt measure).
He recommended the liner for weeds before putting down the rocks, helped with the options and size roll and the staples to secure etc. everything I would have been clueless about had I not had his help.
He helped me through checkout and even loaded up my vehicle (since it was so many bags of rocks). Let me know he would be there until 8:30 pm that evening and that they close at 8 pm.
Once I got started at home I realized I needed more bags of rocks as I wanted it deeper than I initially thought so I gave Home Depot a call, they connected me with Josh H and I let him know I was rushing to get back before they closed and I let him know how many bags I needed.
I arrived just 3 minutes before closing and the garden side was already shut down, yet I was relieved that Josh H went above and beyond as he had the rocks ready for me and once again loaded my car.
Our flower beds look SO much better and due to no gutters on the homes here, the rocks are holding up SO much better when it rains, unlike the mulch that kept washing away.
Josh H truly went above & beyond for me as a customer and it wasnāt just me, Iāve seen him helping others as well which really makes such a difference as thatās hard to come by now days.
Thank you for such phenomenal customer service due to this employee! He genuinely cares about the customers coming...
