Prescott and Prescott Valley is a popular getaway spot in Arizona and we love these two side-by-side towns! Just 2 hours from Phoenix can bring you cooler temps, fun hikes, and great family activities and restaurants! 🚗 Here are our top favorites! Bookmark for the summer, and share with a friend who needs getaway ideas. 🚗 Heritage Park Zoo - rescued wildlife of over 200 animals, plus a playground and seasonal splash pad Sharlot Hall Museum - historical buildings and info about the area Downtown Prescott - walk around the beautiful courthouse, browse unique shops, a must do for sure Watson Lake, Willow Lake, Goldwater Lake, Granite Basin Lake, Lynx Lake - Watson and Lynx Lakes are the most popular, but enjoy hiking, kayaking, picnicking, fishing and some swimming and camping at select locations. I have been visiting this restaurant for approximately 20 years after discovering it while staying in Prescott, Arizona. I enjoy visiting Prescott (& other northern AZ towns/cities) during the summer months, to escape the heat of my hometown in Phoenix, AZ. Anytime I go to Prescott I have breakfast here. They offer a reasonably priced breakfast menu, served until 2 p.m. (btw, they offer special pricing if you go early enough) I have consistently enjoyed great, friendly "hometown" service & the meals have left me wanting for nothing! (; I took pictures of our meals (immediately sidetracked by the desire to "dig in") only after we partially devoured them. I then thought of snapping a picture of a customer's meal @ a neighboring table, (before he began eating) to show an additional meal. The fruit bowl caught my eye, which was enough to inspire me to try something new the next time I'm there. I have always ordered eggs, bacon, hash browns & toast, when I go there, every time. (btw, excellent tasting bacon! ) But, that's my usual breakfast choice to eat @ most any restaurant I visit. My companion ordered biscuits & gravy which was delicious as well. If you are in Prescott, please look them up! I'm pretty sure you will not be disappointed! & I hope you enjoy!

Hands down THE best breakfast I have ever had. I had the apple crepes with bacon. The crepes were amazing and the bacon was crispy, not greasy. My husband had an omelet that was so light and fluffy! The hash browns were hot and crispy! Everything everyone else had looked so yummy that my husband and I also ordered a fresh baked cinnamon roll and a half order of biscuits and gravy to share. Washed it all down with some peach tea and the perfect cup of coffee. It was all so tasty I thought I'd have to roll myself to the car. Not only was the food great but all of the young ladies serving (all part of the owners family I heard) were so cheerful and attentive. - genuinely interested in making sure we were well cared for, even though it was crazy busy. We live about an hour and half away but are already planning our next drive up from Buckeye, specifically to get breakfast at That Apple Pan!

I hate to give bad reviews to small town joints like this, but our experience was just terrible.

Our full dining experience took over an hour and a half. We waited at least 40 minutes before our order was taken. Two different busboys had to point us out to the waitress before she came over. We watched at least three people come in after us and have their orders taken, including the table right next to us.

After putting in our order, we waited another ~45 minutes before the food came out. The bacon was bone-dry and cold, and looked like it had been sitting out for over an hour. Husband ordered eggs fried hard, and got an undercooked, inedible pile of runny eggs.

The real kicker was we heard our waitress apologizing to other tables for the wait. Never once did she stop by to tell us why everything was taking so long.

After we got our food, waitress stopped by once to ask how everything was and we both just shrugged. She said "That good, huh?" and walked away.

After reading some of the other reviews, it's pretty clear that this place always serves locals ahead of people they don't recognize. A couple came in 20 minutes after us, had their order taken 10 minutes after us, and got their food a full half hour before us. They were laughing with the staff the whole time.

I don't want to make assumptions, but I feel it's worth noting that my husband was the only non-white person in the restaurant. Waitress was inattentive and rude to us--we had to call over the OTHER waitress to even get our bill. The only good part of the meal was watching our waitress's eyes nearly pop out of her head in shock when my husband asked if they did a military discount and showed her his active duty ID. Made it almost worth being treated like garbage for nearly two hours.

The two stars are for the younger staff in the restaurant, who were very apologetic and friendly. Otherwise would be a zero...

When my husband and I walked in, there were only two other tables with patrons at them, and two servers in the restaurant. Immediately after we walked in, another guest followed us in. The server came over to give us menus and asked what we wanted to drink, I ordered a coffee and water, and my husband asked what sodas they had. Without responding, the server went to the back, grabbed food for another table, filled my coffee cup, and went to the counter and took another guest’s drink order. He received his drink before she even came back to the table to ask what my husband wanted to drink. After my husband finally got his drink, we were waiting to place our order, we never asked for extra time, she just didn’t come back to take the order. At this point we were very tempted to walk out. After we placed our order, two other tables that came after us had already finished their meals and paid and left (they were being served by the other waitress) we see our server sitting at the counter eating hash browns as we wait for our meals to come out. After we finished we had to walk up to the register to get our ticket and pay, as the server was still eating at the counter. It took us well over an hour in Suann’s, and the dining area was less than half full. I even heard the other waitress indicate how construction is killing their businesss, I hate to break to her but I would not have liked to have been there on a ‘busy day’. Had it not been for the apple butter I would have given it zero stars. We most certainly will not...

Food was DISGUSTING!

I knew on Sunday they would be busy but I wanted to give this place a second chance. (Had a dine in experience before but the food was terrible). I didn't want to dine in this time just order and pick up. I call ahead and order 2 items and am told it's a 20-25 minute wait. No problem. I arrive 26 minutes after the order was placed. (I timed it so I wouldn't have to stand around too long in a packed place.) To find out they lady who took my order forgot to give it to the kitchen. So I wait another 20 minutes. (45 in total) before I get my food. There is no where to wait and I kept getting bumped into.

I ordered the apples Mary and the single biscuits and gravy. Cost over $16.00 (can't get the price online and she hung up before I could ask the total). The biscuits and gravy were inedible. First bite was pure salt. It wasn't a little over salted, it was just salt. Like the whole container fell in. Tried a 2nd bite still only salt. So I gave up. Also found a random single apple slice in the container, not sure if that was intentional or accidental.

The apples Mary (3 cinnamon apple stuffed crepes served with whip cream and choice of meat) 2 crepes had hard cracker type edges but the middle was okay. Bland but I could at least eat it. The 3rd crepe was still raw and doughy. Then I got ham as my meat choice. It was dry and overcooked AND COVERED in whipped cream. They put the ham in the same box as the crepes.

Will never go again. Don't waste your...
