Nice Slice Pizzeria — Restaurant in Providence

Edit: We've ordered from here multiple times since my original review and I think they've gone a bit downhill. I'm only speaking for their vegan options here, and they're not a plant-based restaurant, so I understand that we're not their target audience anyway.

The last time we ordered the vegan space junk pizza they had run out of 'chicken', and instead of letting us know they took it upon themselves to add impossible burger, which makes me ill. They also put very few toppings on. Honestly, I would have just preferred double broccoli or something. So we paid almost $30 for a pizza we ended up wasting most of. I'm giving 3 stars because I think they do a great job with their cheese.

I hate leaving tough reviews, and I'm sure they're still great for vegetarians or onmivores, but I can't recommend them for vegans right now.

I've been going here for years. I get the same order everytime. My pizza has always come out to $34.65. Which for one pizza is already absolutely insane, but it is vegan. Called in my order for pickup last night, and when I showed up, they tried to charge me $43 for the same pizza. $43 for ONE pizza. Have they lost their minds?

I told them at the register that the price looked wrong, and it's always 34 bucks and some change. I was asked when I last bought it, which was a week ago. I told them I could even pull up my bank statements. They gave me some nonsense about how they must've rung it up wrong before, or that the prices just went up.

I told them $35 for a single pizza is already insane and there's no way I'm paying 43 bucks. I explained, if they couldn't get the price back to normal I'd just go home. I was met with an "okay." As in okay, go home. So they made me an entire pizza less than an hour before they closed, and didn't even end up selling it to anyone. Greed at its finest. I won't be going back. Yes the pizza is good, but it ain't 43 dollars good. No sane person will pay that. Time to find some new vegan spots. This one is...

I have been going to nice slice since I was a kid and sometimes order as frequently as once a week. I will no longer be going there since a manager yelled at me on the phone for asking to put buffalo sauce on a pizza. I ordered it over the phone with buffalo sauce and the lady took my order. When my friend went to pick it up they told him they "just don't do that" so I called back to ask why. They gave me attitude told me they worked "too hard on the dough" to put buffo sauce on it and then the manager screamed at me over the phone "WE. JUST. DON'T. DO. THAT." I have never been so taken back by a complete lack of respect to actually be yelled at over the phone over BUFFALO sauce. I will honestly never be going back to this establishment which is sad seeing as I have gone there so often since I was a child. Really gross behavior.
