I had a group of 10 people for a bachelorette party which is a very big group to coordinate dinner for. We purchased tickets for the Illusions show and were told that if we ate at Crown and Anchor we would get preferred seating. We were so excited for our night out. When we arrived 2 hours before the show at Crown and Anchor we were told that they had no tables open and that we really should have made a reservation. I totally understand this as I have been in the restaurant business for about 10 years. While we stood outside making other plans the maitre d told us he could seat us separately because we had such a big group. We sat at two tables, side by side, but not together, with the same waiter..... I guess pushing the tables together was out of the question even though other groups had theirs pushed together. We waited over 5 minutes for the menus to be brought over. Another (about) 10 minutes and we had to ask if we could order drinks. In a huff our waiter took our order for drinks. When asked how one of the dinners was prepared the waiter told us to "just order something else" instead of explaining the dish. When asked if we could get a side of bbq sauce or honey mustard, or anything other than ketchup we were told just "no". Looking over at another table later they had dijon mustard.. The meals took over 45 minutes to come out (I understand with a large group things take more time). The burgers we ordered came out almost raw and unable to eat, our steaks were under seasoned, and the pasta was barely cooked and too hard to eat. No one came over to offer more drinks. We tried to show our excitement and thanked our waiter for getting us in even though we did not have a reservation. No response. Our bill came to $267 and although a tip for GOOD service was hardly deserved he still did WAIT on us and the RESTAURANT did get us in so we tipped him $30. We left and proceeded into the line for Illusions when the waiter came running up behind us and asked if we had left enough money. He counted out the the $267 and then the extra $30 and said "so, you're only tipping me $30?". I was so appalled when my friend told me he had chased us down!! Take it for what it is and chalk it up to a bad night. Look at yourself and ask did I do everything I should have to make these tables feel comfortable and happy? Maybe he was having an off night, I don't know. The only reason I'm writing a review is because the restaurant should learn from this. They have a wonderful gig and should thrive off of the location alone. Work on the people skills and get the act together in the kitchen and you'll be golden! We look forward to visiting P-town again and perhaps eating at...

Don't come here if you are Gluten sensitive! Our first night on the town we decided to eat here for dinner, bad idea. Someone in our party has Celiac disease and we told our waiter, Chris, then proceeded to ask him questions if their Clam chowder was gluten free, he hesitated then nodded his head definitely that it was gluten free, we then asked him if the fries were okay or if they were fried in the same oils as other things, again with such convincing he reassured us that the fries were okay for her to eat. The clam chowder came out with bread on the side of the little plate, WARNING 1. the wonderful waiter MIKE who brought out the clam chowder than told us it was not gluten free and he would talk to the chef about the different options she could eat. The fries came out and that waiter wasn't sure if the fries really were safe for her to eat then since the chowder wasn't and brought them back to ask the chef. Mike again came out, told us the fries she definitely could not eat and gave her her options. -_- unfortunately there are two Chris's and the one that wasn't our waiter wouldnt give us the first letter in his last name, so I would just stay away from both of them...or stay away all together for dining. If that wasn't bad enough, to another person at our table he stood behind her, looking the other way, and kind of creeped his arm around her and grabbed her plate, still looking away he walked away with it...she wasn't done! everyone else clearing our table asked us very audibly if we were done before clearing. I did speak with a manager Pete a few days later, who pointed out the waiter and apologized, asked me if I wanted to speak with him again, I had already said what I wanted to say to Chris that night, so no need. Peter asked me to return, food was on him which was a nice gesture and why I gave this rating a second star, but this wasn't what I wanted, I had wanted at least an apology that night from the owner who was on duty, for my friends, no one ever did, so it was probably kept from them. I used to be a waiter, if there was ever a problem, the manager would be beside the customer a second later. Then our water said that he had taken off her items from the bill, which we thought was great, but he had only taken off the gluten items she had not eaten, well obviously! That one waiter made the whole restaurant seem...

We got married at the Crown & Anchor in October 2016, and we and our 130 guests had a great experience. Cathy Nagorski was our main point of contact, and she was always 100% responsive, professional, and accommodating throughout the nearly yearlong process leading up to the event. The Crown did a great job of working within our means and providing a lot of bang for the buck. We had the ceremony on the beach behind the establishment, which transitioned seamlessly into a cocktail hour on the pool deck, a buffet dinner in the Paramount, and ended with dancing with the Crown’s DJ Chris Racine. Guests wanting a quieter experience could socialize on the pool deck with soft lighting and area heaters. Chef Michele Ragussis did an AMAZING job with the food, delivering exactly the satisfying meal with local character we were looking for. One advantage of having our wedding at the Crown was the one-stop shopping. Being such a large and multi-purpose establishment, they have almost everything you would need on-hand, including lodging, sound systems, lighting, heaters, a tent for the deck, table linens and chair covers, in-house catering, and the list goes on. They went above and beyond and even let us use the stage and equipment for some live performances during the reception. I was initially a little unsure about having our reception in a space I knew only as a nightclub, but the place transformed into a completely fitting venue for a wedding. Cathy coordinated everything with precision and grace, and we will forever be grateful for the role she and other staff played in what turned out to be a fabulous and...
