From a Chef, For The Best Food & Staff If You’re looking for an absolutely Incredible place to Enjoy, with very special, Kind-Hearted Service staff and exceptionally Delicious food,Grab your keys and pocket book as you read my review and Head on over to Tin Pan Alley From the outside, it promises such a fun, laid-back atmosphere, You won’t find any white linen tablecloths Here, The food and people are fun, eclectic, and worthy of the business I Hope this Review brings, because it was a Superb performance last night on their behalf that deserves this review! We’re “Creatures of Habit”, We’ve never eaten at TPA Before, And there are so many good restaurants in Provincetown, it’s really Difficult to stray from Your favorites, We’re also not really “Crowd People” but oddly enough, the tables seem very spaced out, and It’s such a fun atmosphere there that You’ll most likely end up enjoying a fun conversation with your neighbors beside you before the night is over anyway! Gayle at the door Was the kindest, most welcoming spirit, She had the kindest, warmest welcome in, She made you feel at Home, and was a Super pleasant addition to the TPA Guest Experience, Next, she brought us to a taller, thin, Salt and pepper haired man (James? I think might have been his name I could be totally wrong?) ….by the kitchen who offered a “Temperature check” for outdoor seating, He understood that I am always cold, But Love sitting outside, they have the back patio covered and our awesome server “Serg” I hope I spell and remember the names of the Staff last night correctly because while names are important and I try my best to remember them, Especially when I feel they go above and beyond which everyone at TPA Did last night, they didn’t just meet, But exceeded every expectation I had!, My Hearing isn’t always 100% so just keep in mind I may have gotten the mans name wrong, but He was Probably the Most Helpful Manager I’ve met in a food establishment in a long time, It was actually warm enough for me out on their covered patio and The blanket did the trick! Now onto the food, the Saganaki and Korean Wings are a Must! We ordered the Steak Frites (which was the single best, perfectly seasoned and cooked Steak Frites I’ve ever had!) and Salmon (I dont order salmon a lot but would love to try theirs sometime if I could bear ordering anything other than that perfectly prepared steak, But I tried The salmon it was Exquisite!, That Faroe salad was Perfection, My Steak was the Best Prepared Steak I’ve had in a very long time, in fact I almost never order steak out because it never comes out 100% but this one came out 110% perfectly cooked, presented, and delicious-tasting!) I looked around the room and saw lots of the swordfish special being ordered, and the fabulous young couple beside us had the Giant (and I do mean giant) meatballs, they Said they Loved them, and the scallops were ordered quite frequently from what it looked like too, That was probably the lightest plate I saw, But everything else looked Over-sized if anything, I saw a couple people With take-home containers because they give you more than enough, in fact, I also saw most people sharing their food with their spouses, and friends around the table because it’s just such large, almost family sized-portions! I can’t wait to go back, and Have Added this to Our Favorites list for P-Town, It’s a shame that there’s a lot of other, flashier “tourist traps” with big glowing neon lobsters, or Maybe better looking locations that May Catch a lot of The Travelers first, because this is one of the best food experiences I’ve had in all the years I’ve been coming to P-Town, so, If there’s one thing I Hope my review does, it’s to Help You filter By the glitz, and File past the more glamorous looking tourist traps, and to give these Well-Deserving People who’ve brought you Tin Pan Alley with all their Hard work and Kindness a Chance because their work is exceptional, Their Food is Delicious, and their Kind Hearts are so warmly welcoming, You’ll Be Hooked, I loved it so much I could go back tonight!

From the street, this eatery may appear to offer the opposite of epitomal Cape Cod dining elements such as open air and a view, but Tin Pan Alley *does* have a beach deck out back while regularly supplementing its indoor dining with sensory experiences of an auditory nature via a small stage and piano. The restaurant derives its name from this feature as Tin Pan Alley is a street in New York City that housed the center of the American popular song business in the early 20th century. As the leading tour guide in town, I’m giving Tin Pan extra points for injecting a little history into their presentation! Aside from that, their menu is effectively organized and marks dishes with common dietary concerns for easy decision making. The blend of adventure and essentials presents strong options for vegetarian and vegan diners; choices all Ptown restaurants should be concerned with if they want to continue to have land to serve food on by combating sea level rise! I had the Cape Cobb Salad (nothing gorges me like wordplay) and the Beyond Burger. Despite their intent to destroy brain cells, the specialty cocktails looked to have considerable thought behind them, but this puritan rebel was surprisingly not in a day drinking mood. Anyways, service was great and seemed happy. I would enjoy again thanks! If any of my infamous opinions above were useful, interesting, or funny, please consider taking one of my tours or becoming a true follower @americanjesabel!

Tin Pan Alley is a beautiful restaurant in the heart of Provincetown. From the outside the place looks small - however, the building stretches far back abutting the beach with a beautiful deck and a small group of seats on the beach itself. Entering the restaurant you immediately feel a lot of energy and an atmosphere that has a great buzz to it. The staff is very friendly and hospitable - you feel very welcomed. We were fortunate to sit at one of the tables out on the beach. It was a perfect starry Cape Cod night - with the ocean right in front of us. Our server was clearly a seasoned veteran and was well versed on the menu/wine and cocktails. His food recommendations were spot on. For apps we had the tricolor cauliflower /artichoke hearts as well as the rock shrimp - all were light, fresh and flavorful. For entrees we had the grilled ribeye that was perfectly cooked as well as the crispy bistro chicken which had a excellent Au Ju and great mashed potatoes. They also have menu selections for kids which are not posted on the menu - just ask the server. All in all this is a great restaurant that has something for everyone.

Yesterday July 21st, my boyfriend and I for the first time traveling to Cape Cod. We searched for a restaurant and agreed to go to Tin Pan Alley at 269 Commercial St., Provincetown, MA 02657. As we entered, the entrance was crowded, and we looked around for someone to help us find a table. After a few minutes, someone from behind asked if we were looking for a table, to which we said yes. Finally, they seated us.

Our waiter arrived, and my boyfriend ordered an Espresso Martini, but the waiter brought him a Purple Empress instead—hahahah! I ordered a Blue Basil. For food, my boyfriend ordered Steak Frites (well-done), and I ordered Fish Stew. Unfortunately, the steak was pink and undercooked in every slice. I asked the waiter if the fish stew came with a side, and he said yes, rice. However, the rice was mixed with the stew as an ingredient, not served separately as a side.

We were too hungry to send the food back and wait longer for a better meal. In the end, I paid the full bill but decided not to leave a tip. A few minutes later, the waiter returned and asked if everything was okay. I told him it was okay but listed the issues with the service. The waiter left, but the story didn't end there.

I decided to step out onto the balcony with my boyfriend to get some fresh air because the inside was a bit stuffy and smelled of seafood. Suddenly, another young waiter appeared and waited at the balcony door for us. He started arguing with me in front of others about why I didn’t leave a tip, claiming it was disrespectful, and so on. I reiterated that I understood but was unsatisfied with the food and service. Eventually, we left. On the way back, he continued to follow us and speak ill.

I feel sorry for the owner of this restaurant who seemingly hasn’t trained their waitstaff to respect customers, even when given honest criticism. I don’t fully grasp the concept of tipping. I understand that tips are part of a waiter's income, but tipping is optional, and I have the right to choose whether or not to leave one. Last night was a nightmare with those waiters. Did I commit a crime? Do I have the right to express my dissatisfaction with the food/service? Do waiters have the right to disrespect me in front of my boyfriend and the public simply because I didn’t leave a tip, despite paying my bill in full?

I would appreciate speaking to the manager to understand the ethics of this restaurant better. I know for certain that I will...

Before I begin this review, I have to say that I never leave reviews unless it’s absolutely horrible. My best friend, her boyfriend, and I went to this bar last night for our birthdays. While I will admit that I was the least sober there and I did get wild (and I sincerely apologize for this, genuinely), that still doesn’t warrant the type of treatment we received from one of the male bartenders. I asked for water multiple times and was trying to sober up but was purposely ignored while he LOUDLY talked about us to OTHER CUSTOMERS and staff. We overheard him say “you want to see something crazy, these broads don’t even know where they’re at right now”… how we know this? My best friends boyfriend was sober the entire time. He was asked by this bartender if he was gay and when he said no, his attitude immediately changed with him. We’re both queer women, not that it’s anyone’s business at all, but we could tell that we weren’t welcome. Which is wild considering we wanted to stick to gay bars TO feel welcome and safe. The bartender was an older gentleman with a white goatee and glasses. I regret tipping him (even though I only did because I felt bad that my friends didn’t).

Edit to include some details I’m learning from my friends. He slammed our check down and said “next bar, bye.” He also told my friend “and why should I care” when she said it was her birthday. I asked for water multiple times because I was aware of my drunkenness (he made sure to berate me for it) and I was ignored. There were maybe like 10 people there and 2 bartenders. He was really rude when he finally gave me some. I accidentally spilled my water and he got mad. We were literally sitting in the corner keeping to ourselves. All three of us have worked in food service for as long as we’ve been employable and never, EVER have we witnessed such horrible treatment. Sucks cause this was a really cute place with good...
