The pupusas here are DELICIOUS! I love this place so so much! I'm a huge pupusa fan, and I hate how they are in Provo because I live in Draper, and every time I'm craving a pupusa, I make the drive! It's totally worth it. Let me tell you why these are the best pupusas In all of UT. I've been around literally EVERY pupusa place in UT, and none NONE of them compare to these delicious pupusas. Something about them is just different. The sizing is perfect, the beans are delicious, the cheese is so flavorful, and meshes well with the beans inside the pupusa. I always get the revueltas. Which are the beans, cheese, and pork ones. The pork is SOOOO delicious. Definitely is and has that homemade taste. Very authentic. They give you the red sauce on the side with the traditional Salvadorian cabbage salad. These both combined with the pupusas, are heavily. YUM! Also, not just the pupusas are delicious here. Their other foods on the menu are delicious and equally as yummy as the pupuas. The waiters are always so sweet, and the tables are super clean, great atmosphere, and great service! Would I recommend this place? Um, ABSOLUTELY drop everything and go now!!!! Lol, I will also say the price of the pupusas is pretty great for the portion size! As you can tell... this place has my heart. I've been coming here since I was a little girl and when it was owned by the previous owners. The new owners are Bolivian but kept the same recipes! I just wish they were open on Sundays still. Now they don't open Sundays. Furthermore, I still Love...

Once upon a time this was my favorite place to eat. I used to eat here every week and have been out of state for a few years. It was a sad reunion. All the old crew had been replaced and I was not treated equally to the Spanish speaking regulars... which was a first and I noticed other Caucasian customers being discriminated against too.

I ordered 10 papusas, to go, and asked for extra cabbage to top them with. They said "of course" but when they brought them to me they included only a small, dripping, sandwich bag full. Barely enough to top 5. I asked for more and the same woman said "sure, that will be $5.99". Uuuuuuuuh, I just spent $60 and you can't even include enough to top my order??? Also, the special doesn't include a soft drink if you order it "to go"... but the wait is 10 minutes to half an hour (I was told the wait would be 10 minutes and it was almost half an hour). Why can't you drink it while you wait? I am sadly devastated, on so many levels. It feels like an old friend has died. I even left a tip when I knew I wasn't staying... definitely regretting that now.

If you intend to visit here, choose dine in, or you will be cheated.

P.s. The food is great, and I wish my one experience in 4 years hadn't been so memorable, in an awful way. I never would have imagined leaving a bad review for these guys. They used to...

Not sure usual American Mexican fajitas. First he did taste like beef announce more of a stronger steak taste I don’t know how to describe it but the beef taste of different but not bad. The red sauce was different and was unexpected. I can’t say I hated the sauce it was very flavorful but not a really good idea for the meal. The cheese that was melted on the beans was rockhard that did not make any sense at all. The beans and the rice was very good tasted homemade. The chips and salsa was excellent. And unfortunately the best part of the meal. When walking into the place you’re not sure if it’s one of those places that you have to order from the front or get seated. I had to go up front and ask there’s no sign please wait anything like that. My other issue was the waiters barely spoke any English didn’t really understand what I was talking about.

Another problem is part of the menus and all in Spanish. And another part is In English. The fajitas part was in Spanish only so I didn’t understand maybe they mentioned red sauce but I didn’t understand the language.

Funny thing is the three star rating would’nt keep me from coming back but I would try something different.

I accidentally pressed $80 for the tip oops! I am an extra star because of the excellent service they just gave me some cash back.

Overall most of my meal and...

What a pleasant surprise! They are not only open Sunday afternoon, it's a lively place. It's like being in the real world. The beer is 3.2, but there is beer. There is no doubt that there is a lot of support from the local Latino culture, and it shows. It is Mexican and Salvadorian food. I don't know jack about Salvadorian food. I do know the cheese pupussa was really good. As good as the various pupussas were, there's several Mexican dishes I really want to try. The chips are good, but the salsa is fantastic. The flavors are complex, and there's enough spice to know this place isn't dumbed down for the local masses. I read some raving about the rice and beans. The rice is that slightly red instant rice. The refried beans pretty standard. That said, the flavor is better than the local casual chains. The prices on the food are incredibly inexpensive. It tastes really good, and the servers we saw were all very nice. When a restaurant exceeds all expectations for what they advertise, it's a five star review. There's nothing sketchy about this part of town, unless you believe a little Spanish advertising for the businesses is sketchy. This place just became out go to Mexican restaurant for anything but a quick lunch.

My wife and I have now been here quite a few times since it is walkable from where we live. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Provo. All the servers are bilingual and very kind and helpful. The food is really astounding. The pupusas are always hot and delicious and come quickly. I really like the pupusas revueltas, they are only $3.15 each but lots of food - 2 plus chips and salsa is plenty of food for even me who typically gets lots of food. Chips and salsa comes gratis with dine in and is fantastic. I've also gotten the Bistec Encebollado which was amazing, the meat was cooked well and the rice was heavenly. Last but definitely not least - try the horchata salvadoreña! It's like chocolate spiced horchata and it's delicious. No bike racks, but since we just walk it's not been an issue.
