Excited to check the place out today and took a walk from Mineral Palace Park to the location expecting to get there a little bit before 1:00 p.m. enough time before they close according to their posted business hours at 2:00 p.m. ... and here we go. Apparently didn't even have any coffee left or any single thing? I have a career of managing large scale food and beverage operations and I've also been a small business owner two different restaurants and the rule of thumb is - if you're going to be in business.. keep your posted hours. Don't open late. In fact don't even open early. It gives people the wrong idea - and certainly don't close before your posted closing time unless it's an emergency. Not a good message as far as considering your customer base or how you're organized as a viable business.
BTW, That's assuming a lot to say "you will see me tomorrow".. I'll see how long it takes me to get over my disappointment and ultimate exasperation that a business would be conducted like this. It looked like such excellent product being merchandised and marketed on your Google page with extensive photos....
Read moreWe went to see our friends at Grumpy’s Cafe this morning and to support them on opening day. We got all 4 of the Pop Tarts, the Nutella roll, Scotharoo and a coconut cream pie. We have tasted everything except the pie. All are outstanding. The sweetness is on point. The pastry Sydney Grinstead uses for the pop tarts is the best that I have ever had. The coconut cream pie looks so good. I cannot wait to try it tonight. I also got a cup of their coffee. It is a robust deep flavor. We will be back for more. I highly recommend this place.
Update:
We tried the coconut cream pie. It is the best I have ever had. It reminds me of the pie my grandma made when I was a kid. The sweetness is perfect. The saltinessof the crust makes the coconut explode. This is the best pie crust I have ever had. It is even better than my grandmas was. We will be...
Read moreFirst time here with my son. We definitely enjoyed the food and found the place to be very comfortable and clean. Lots of seating from bar style seats (higher up) to couches in front of a fireplace and rocking chair. I love that it wasn't just a cold place with tile and uncomfortable seating. The staff was so nice and welcomed all my questions. We loaded up having a warm breakfast casserole and some glazed donuts and we definitely brought some cinnamon rolls home with some Italian bread to enjoy later on after dinner. I had to grab the last box of cherry/chocolate mice that were not just super cute but super yummy. All in all, I would recommend over going to a larger franchise and we will DEFINITELY be returning. We left super happy...
