Ernestina's Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Puerto Rico

First time here and I LOVED it!! The cutest hidden gem in Luquillo with the best authentic Puerto Rican food made fresh. They serve a lot so I ended up taking half my meal home. The waitress was very friendly and outgoing. Very helpful too. The place was amazing and beautiful. They have so many old pictures of what Luquillo used to look like back in the early 1940s and even 1800s. It's a time capsule of memorabilia its an amazing journey to follow along by viewing at the pictures. The artifacts hanging go with the theme of the restaurant. The owner must have been a great coach because he also has many pictures of his teams, trophys etc on the walls too. It's eye catching as you look from the outside in, it looks like a ship because of the windows on the door....but once inside its a beautiful sight of memories, artifacts, and time changes. Ernestina’s Seafood Restaurant was absolutely incredible! I took my family of 5 including 3 children (10, 8, and 6) and we were all blown away by the service, atmosphere, and quality of food. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We weren’t really sure what to order and they made recommendations that satisfied everyone at the table, including our somewhat picky children. After just coming back from a trip to Puerto Rico, I can say without a doubt that dinner here was the best meal we had. The mofongo with grouper was amazing and so was the shrimp soup. My husband got fish with the creole sauce and my son the pork chops. All were fantastic. The place was empty when we were there but don't let that deter you. We tried several similar dishes at other places and nothing was anywhere near as good or as reasonably priced. They also let you bring in your own booze...
