George's Encore — Restaurant in Racine

George's Tavern is a local legend here in Racine. They serve great tavern food, all homemade, even the pizzas! Great variety of beers, wine and liquor. Mostly George's is known for awesome music. George's wrangles in some of the best bands around Racine, Milwaukee, Chicago as well as touring bands from around the country. On Wednesday night's George's hosts an Open Jam Night so musicians and vocalists can get together and "do their thing". George's is a great venue for hosting any and all kind of parties. Came here for the first time with a friend. The bar was completely packed so we sat in the back where the band stage is. This place is definitely a regulars bar. Looks like the same people that hang out there every day hogging up all the bar seats. Nothing wrong with that at all but at least move out the way and allow others to enjoy the bar area lol. Updated Review - 4/4/25: We wanted tonhear some live music, so we went to George's. We are happy we did. The Music was incredible! It was a blues band. WOW! Super great music! Original Post: Great place to sit at the bar, have a drink, talk, and get something to eat. The service is friendly, helpful, and fast. The food is incredible.
