Smoke'd On the Water — Restaurant in Racine

I use to come here all the time and buy food and drinks but after my experience today I will not be returning. Between my friend and I ,we ordered the 6 piece wings with fries and the pretzel with cheese. The wings are frozen wing dings and you can taste the freezer when you bite into the wings, and the fries were mostly burnt and barely edible. I asked them if was able to switch my food out for something else and the cook told me “ no we don’t do that here, you can’t go to a restaurant and return half eaten food” ( I only ate 2-3 fries off the top and split a flat) . The pretzel also taste it was a leather shoe stuffed with used paper towels with a dash of salt!!🤢 Not only was he rude as hell with poor customer service skills, but he walked away while I was trying to show him that I barely ate it.

Their employees also lack good hygiene, and barely follows food safety guidelines. Multiple employees were walking in and out the kitchen and did not wash their hands once they entered back into the kitchen!! A few of them were even smoking cigarettes in the back area and going back into the kitchen when they are done. I have never had a bad experience with them until today, maybe the employees were too drunk to cook the food...

Smoked on the water is a nice spot to hang out and relax during the summer they offer a pretty good variety of different food options ranging from Chicago hot dogs to cheese fries and walking tacos with a good selection of canned beverages with the alcoholic beverages being very reasonably priced most are three or four dollars for a can aside from the Mike's harder Lemonades. You get a great view of the lakefront with boats passing by and plenty of Sun plus they offer outdoor games like bags, jars of chalk for children to express their artistic freedom and toys like jump ropes and hula hoops but what I find most enjoyable is that they offer live music multiple days of the week with the weekends having bands throughout most of the day so if you're looking for a place to unwind stop by smoked on the water and have...

I was really hoping to try this place today, but it seems to be a summertime restaurant only. Both Google and the website state that the restaurant is currently open, as of 3/20/25. However, it is going to be available for sevice around Memorial Day, I've been informed. I found out that George's Encore bar is the same owner, so I stopped in there for the food. It was amazing!
