"What kind of Chipotle closes at 6:30 PM? This one."
We've tried to go to this location 3 times. The first time, we got in during the pandemic, and it was the worst Chipotle we had ever been to. OK, the pandemic is crazy, there's a lot of turnover everywhere, so we'll try again. Closed around 7:30 or so. Well, that's stupid early for a Chipotle to close, especially one that lists 10:00 p.m. as the closing time on the door. But again, pandemic, and maybe they listed 7 as the closing time online, and we never thought to check.
Then there's today. Knowing they have absurd hours and close early, we planned to get dinner way earlier than usual. Online it shows 7:00 as the closing time. Look, I know places have staffing issues. I know "no one wants to work" or whatever the misleading cliché is (it's more like "no one wants to work for what YOU are paying"). But a Chipotle closing at 7 p.m. is an embarrassment. You're basically saying you don't want to be taken seriously as a dinner option.
We arrived at 6:40 and the employees were still working, serving a customer (or maybe an off-duty employee?)...with the doors locked. No sign (except the hours, which hilariously show a closing time of 10 p.m.). No indication that maybe we're entering through the wrong door, or something unusual is going on, or you're only doing food delivery services / carry-out.
After a few minutes, a young man saw us standing there and opened the door. Confused, I asked..."are you...closed or something?" while I could see them serving someone. "Yes, we close at 7." I think he immediately knew how absurd a thing that is to say at 6:43, so a moment later he added, "plus we ran out of food so we just closed early."
Uh huh. It sure looked like the staff was serving food, cleaning up, etc. You ran out of...everything? Or you decided it was slow and you didn't want to stay open until the (already reduced) closing time? There were at least 5 employees visible, so it wasn't a short-staff situation.
Overall, just an embarrassment for Chipotle. This is the kind of thing that sticks and...
Read moreHere's the deal: I love chipotle. I have a Chipotle T-shirt. I sacrificed my first-born child to Chipotle. But this particular restaurant is inexcusably subpar and unfit to bear the good name of Chipotle.
This is the only Chipotle within walking distance of my school, so I've been ordering from this Chipotle for 3 years now. Every single time I've been disappointed. The employees just slorp the ingredients on with no care for proper burrito equilibrium, and consistently wrap them loosely and unappealingly. Furthermore, the employees are unmotivated and unresponsive. Many times I go up to the counter and they just stare at me unmoving for having the audacity to walk into an empty chipotle and expect them to stop vibing and serve food.
Most times I order takeout, my order has been wrong. The portion sizes are consistently smaller than any other chipotle's portions. Today I ate rice and it felt like eating plastic beads. Once I walked in at 4:00 and they had no steak. I asked them if they were making more, and they said they "didn't feel like it". On that visit all the chairs were up as well since they cleaned the floor an hour prior, and they said they didn't want to put them back down.
I'm scared someone will come to this Chipotle, have a bad experience, and be turned off from Chipotle forever. That would be tragic, because Chipotle is wonderful. This restaurant should be stripped of its name before it does more damage to Chipotle's reputation and...
Read moreI placed a 50 meal Catering Order (see picture attached, a $700+ order) for pickup on Saturday April 6, 2024 at 2:30pm from this location. When I arrived at 2:30pm for pickup, I was told that this Chipotle location had been busy and had not started cooking for our order. And that it would be at least an hour before they could get the meals ready, and they asked if the pickup time could be moved to later in the afternoon or evening. I replied that would not work, we had a 50 person college sports team and their coaching staff from an out of state college, who had just finished their game at Villanova and were waiting for this meal before their drive six hours back home. Waiting an hour or more was not an option. I was dismayed and frustrated that no one from the store called or emailed or texted to notify me of the delay. When I asked why, all they could tell me was that they had been busy. We did not get the order, so I can't rate the food. We had to find a different restaurant company on short notice to prepare meals for the road, and the team and coaching/training staff had to wait. Very disappointed with the Chipotle Catering experience and this store's utter disregard for the courtesy of letting me know there was a problem until I walked...
